Back our 685/1 Hotshots Acca here!

Tuesday – AC Milan vs Liverpool – Mohamed Salah

Liverpool were dealt a reality check by Nottingham Forest on Saturday but they should be able to bounce back against an AC Milan side that have conceded twice in three of their four outings this season, with Mohamed Salah set to play a starring role at the San Siro.

Salah scored home and away against the Rossoneri the last time these sides met in 2021 and found the net in each of the Reds’ opening three games this season, adding two assists to his tally in their 3-0 dismantlement of Manchester United.

Wednesday – Man City vs Inter Milan – Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland was anonymous in Manchester City’s curtain-raiser against their cross-city rivals in the Community Shield, but the Norwegian sharpshooter has returned to form in devastating fashion since then.

He tops the Premier League goalscoring charts with nine goals in four appearances, with this extraordinary tally coming from a league-leading 13 shots on target. The 24-year-old has scored 41 goals in 39 Champions League appearances and could go level with Alessandro Del Piero in the all-time goalscoring charts on Wednesday.

Thursday – Monaco vs Barcelona – Lamine Yamal

Barcelona have flown out of the blocks this season and their most recent success – a 4-1 thrashing away to Gorina – saw teenage sensation Lamine Yamal continue his fine start to the campaign.

The 17-year-old was the breakout star of Euro 2024 and has hit the ground running for the Catalan side this season, scoring three times and assisting four more in his opening five games.

Friday – Augsburg vs Mainz – Nadiem Amiri

Central midfielder Nadiem Amiri was relegated to a backup role in the first half of Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga-winning campaign last year, but he proved a shrewd January signing for Mainz and has started this term well.

The 27-year-old has scored twice in four appearances this season and scored from the spot in their 3-3 draw with Stuttgart, suggesting he may have leapfrogged striker Jonathan Burkardt in penalty-taking duties. He faces an Augsburg side that have conceded eight goals in four competitive matches this season.

Saturday – Bristol City vs Oxford – Mark Harris

Scorer of 15 goals in 43 appearances in Oxford United’s promotion-winning campaign, Mark Harris has adapted well to life in the Championship and could be the latest in a long line of players to find the net against a fragile Bristol City outfit on Saturday.

The 25-year-old has scored in four of his five outings in the second tier and will come face to face with a defensive line that have shipped 12 goals in just six competitive games this term, including back-to-back 3-0 defeats against Derby and Blackburn.

Sunday – Lyon vs Marseille – Mason Greenwood

Marseille continued their flying start to the Ligue 1 campaign with a 2-0 victory over Nice on Saturday and, while Mason Greenwood did not score either of those goals there is no denying the controversial move for the 22-year-old is working on a footballing level.

The former Manchester United man unveiled himself to the Marseille fans by playing a starring role in their 5-1 thrashing of Brest on his debut, scoring twice and having a hand in each of the other three goals. Goals against Reims and Toulouse followed as he matched Mario Balotelli’s record of scoring five goals in his first three games, and he could add to that tally against a Lyon side that have conceded eight goals in four games.
