Football Betting Tips
Super 6 Match Result Accumulator Tip
Ipswich have lost all of their meetings with the top five this season. Arsenal have a 100% record against the bottom three and they also have a perfect record away to the bottom six.
Bournemouth landed a 1-0 win over Fulham last time and can follow up against another London side at Selhurst Park. Confidence will be low in the Crystal Palace camp following 5-2 and 5-0 thrashings at Manchester City and Newcastle and they look set for a fourth straight head-to-head without a victory.
These sides are both locked in mid-table obscurity in the Premier League and the draw could be the best bet for their clash in West London. Brighton have drawn 12 games in the Premier League this term, while the Bees have drawn successive league fixtures.
Four of Everton’s last six games have been settled by 1-1 scorelines and a repeat of that scoreline could be on the cards when they host Manchester City, who are still some way off their best.
Leicester have nine defeats in their last 10 games and they’ve lost each of their last eight home games by at least two goals. The Foxes last three home defeats have all been by three or more goals, so Liverpool should be able to record a comfortable victory.
Newcastle are on a six-game winning run and they can make it seven in a row against Villa. The hosts come into the game after putting a lot into their 3-2 midweek win over PSG, which wasn’t enough to avoid a European exit. The Magpies have won the last three meetings by an aggregate score of 11-2 and can strengthen their hold on a top five spot with victory over a direct rival.
Super Mega Accumulator Tip
Manchester City crushed Crystal Palace 5-2 last Saturday but Pep Guardiola’s side had to recover from 2-0 down and there are still signs of vulnerability in the team. They could have a tough time against Everton, who have lost just three league games since David Moyes took charge, so back the Toffees to avoid defeat.
Queen’s Park have lost their last nine games and Hamilton can inflict a 10th successive defeat on the visitors, as the Accies have won back-to-back games ahead of Saturday’s contest.
It has not been a great campaign for West Ham, who have not looked much better since the appointment of Graham Potter, but they should have enough to see off relegation Southampton. That said, Saints have scored in four of their last five games and can net a consolation goal.
Barcelona have failed to win six of their last 10 home La Liga matches by more than a goal. They could struggle to overcome a Celta Vigo side that has lost only one of their last six away La Liga matches and only of their last 10 road trips by more than one goal. Also, Celta have covered a +2 handicap on three of their last four La Liga trips to Barcelona.
Huesca can make home advantage count against promotion rivals Racing Santander, who are winless in five away from home (D2, L3). Huesca have three wins in their last four at this venue and they can claim the points here, but a Santander goal is expected as they have scored in seven consecutive away games.
PSG are marching towards another Ligue 1 title, but they have struggled to keep clean sheets on their own patch and this could be another occasion at the Parc des Princes when both teams score.
Napoli are without a win in five away games and have only triumphed by more than a solitary goal, home or away, once in the last three months. With Monza having recently pushed another title contender in Inter close, they could do the same against Napoli.
Cadiz’s games have been low scoring affairs recently but this trip to Burgos could buck that trend. Over 2.5 goals has landed in four of Burgos’ last five at home, while there has been a bot more action in Cadiz’s road fixtures with at least three scored in three of their last five away.
Montpellier are on the verge of relegation following a miserable campaign and they are likely to be given short shrift by Marseille in this south-coast derby. OM are fighting it out with Monaco to finish second in Ligue 1 but they were well beaten by the principality side last week and their current form is poor. However, they should be too strong for their visitors who have last ten games in a row, nine of those without scoring.
Argentina Best Bet Tip
Both teams to score is the standout bet here. There have been goals at both ends in each of the last three meetings and in four of Tucuman’s last five games, while Independiente have seen goals at both ends in three of their last four away from home in this competition.
A-League Double Tip
Both of these teams are in fine form and these two firing attacks should be able to combine for at least four goals. Over 3.5 goals has landed in Victory’s last three games – which have produced 19 goals in total – and there have been at least four goals scored in four of Auckland’s last seven.
Both teams have scored in six of Western Sydney’s last seven games and they’ve scored in nine successive fixtures. Melbourne City have scored in seven of their last eight and have just one clean sheet in their last four, so both of these teams look capable of scoring.
10/1 A-LEAGUE ACCA LANDED LAST SATURDAY
A-League Best Bet Tip
Both teams have scored in six of Western Sydney’s last seven games and they’ve scored in nine successive fixtures. Melbourne City have scored in seven of their last eight and have just one clean sheet in their last four, so both of these teams look capable of scoring.
10/1 A-LEAGUE ACCA LANDED LAST SATURDAY
Experts' Accumulator Tip
Como made it two wins in a row with a 1-0 triumph over Torino last time out, extending their unbeaten run to three matches, and head coach Cesc Fabregas will be confident his side can add another three points to their tally.
Andoni Iraola’s side have only lost one of their last 11 matches away from home and they should be able to exploit Palace’s weaknesses at the back.
Everton have been rejuvenated under David Moyes and last weekend’s 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest means that they have suffered only one defeat in their last 12 Premier League assignments.
Villa are tasked with returning to action against an in-form Newcastle side just four days after their European efforts and that looks a big ask.
Leganes have lost four of their last five games and they’ve suffered seven defeats on their travels this term. The visitors have suffered five of those in eight clashes with the top 10, while eighth-placed Mallorca are aiming to follow up a 2-0 victory at Real Sociedad.
VfB’s Bundesliga form has dipped as a result of their cup exploits and they’ve won just one of their last eight in the league, losing five. Union are on a five-game unbeaten run (W3, D2) and as the underdogs they look a great price to pick up maximum points this weekend.
Home Wins Accumulator Tip
Mainz are going through a rough patch but the visit of a poor Wolfsburg team looks a perfect opportunity to boost their European hopes with three points. Mainz are unbeaten in nine at home – winning six of those – and Wolfsburg have lost their last four.
Queen’s Park have lost their last nine games and Hamilton can inflict a 10th successive defeat on the visitors, as the Accies have won back-to-back games ahead of Saturday’s contest.
Huesca can make home advantage count against promotion rivals Racing Santander, who are winless in five away from home (D2, L3). Huesca have three wins in their last four at this venue and they can claim the points here.
Mallorca won at Real Sociedad last time out and have a great chance to secure a place in Europe. They should be able to make the most of home advantage against relegation-threatened Leganes, who are winless in five and have lost their last four away from home.
The Perfect 10 Accumulator Tip
Mainz are going through a rough patch but the visit of a poor Wolfsburg team looks a perfect opportunity to boost their European hopes with three points. Mainz are unbeaten in nine at home – winning six of those – and Wolfsburg have lost their last four.
League leaders Falkirk have won 21 of their 33 league games and have been near perfect at home (W12, D3, L1). The Bairns should have too much for poor travellers Raith, who have just 13 points to show from 16 trips.
It has not been a great campaign for West Ham, who have not looked much better since the appointment of Graham Potter, but they should have enough to see off relegation Southampton.
Nacional have a decent return of 23 points from 14 home games and they can make home advantage count against Gil Vicente, who have lost 10 of their last 12.
Title challengers Levante have won their last four home games and can see off a Zaragoza side who have picked up just one point from their last four away from home.
Mallorca won at Real Sociedad last time out and have a great chance to secure a place in Europe. They should be able to make the most of home advantage against relegation-threatened Leganes, who are winless in five and have lost their last four away from home.
Dordrecht have a chance to win promotion this season and they can boost their hopes by beating mid-table Oss. The visitors are seeking a third successive win, while Oss have just one win in their last 13 and have lost seven of those games.
Monaco are strong at home, with 11 wins from 15 Ligue 1 matches at Stade Louis II. They sit second in the table and recently beat Marseille 3-0. Having scored in 18 of their last 19 games and they are unbeaten in six of seven against Strasbourg, so a home win is favoured.
LA Galaxy are the only team in the West yet to pick up a win, with five defeats in eight games. They look set to fall short again at Austin, who have won three of their last five.
Roma are on the longest unbeaten run in Serie A, as they have not lost any of their last 16 matches in the competition.
Both Teams To Score Accumulator Tip
Both teams have scored in four of Bochum’s last five games and in three of Bremen’s last four at home.
Both teams have scored in 22 of Brighton’s 32 league contests.
PSG are marching towards another Ligue 1 title, but they have struggled to keep clean sheets on their own patch and this could be another occasion at the Parc des Princes when both teams score.
Both teams have scored in 10 of Napoli’s last 11 games and Monza’s scoring record against Italy’s big teams isn’t too bad considering their league position. The hosts have scored five goals in their last five games against the current members of Italy’s top six and they may be able to find a way through against a Napoli side who have conceded in eight of their last 10 road games.
Both teams have scored in Las Palmas’ last four league games and Atletico Madrid’s last five.
Premier League Accumulator Tip
Both teams have scored in 22 of Brighton’s 32 league contests.
Bournemouth landed a 1-0 win over Fulham last time and can follow up against another London side at Selhurst Park. Confidence will be low in the Crystal Palace camp following 5-2 and 5-0 thrashings at Manchester City and Newcastle.
It has not been a great campaign for West Ham, who have not looked much better since the appointment of Graham Potter, but they should have enough to see off relegation Southampton. That said, Saints have scored in four of their last five games so there may well be goals at both ends in East London.
Premier League Scorers Mega Accumulator Tip
Yoane Wissa has bagged 15 goals in the Premier League this season, including one at the Emirates last time out, and he can strike against Brighton.
Antoine Semenyo was Bournemouth’s hero against Fulham but that snapped a run of four goals where Evanilson had scored every one of the Cherries’ strikes. The Brazilian netted twice in his last away appearance and can follow up at Selhurst Park.
Iliman Ndiaye has been Everton’s main man up top this season with seven goals in the Premier League and, given he is on penalty duty, he is a worthwhile bet to score against Manchester City.
It has not been a scintillating season from Jarrod Bowen but he still has eight Premier League goals to his name this term and can get on the scoresheet against struggling Southampton.
Both Teams To Score & Win Mega Accumulator Tip
It has not been a great campaign for West Ham, who have not looked much better since the appointment of Graham Potter, but they should have enough to see off relegation Southampton. That said, Saints have scored in four of their last five games and can net a consolation goal.
PSG are marching towards another Ligue 1 title, but they have struggled to keep clean sheets on their own patch and this could be another occasion at the Parc des Princes when both teams score.
Only once across their last 12 matches have Napoli won by more than one goal and three of their last four victories have been by a 2-1 scoreline. With so much at stake, this could be another nervy victory for Antonio Conte’s title challengers.
Back the visitors to win and concede as Villa haven’t drawn a blank at home since October.
Premier League Correct Score Double Tip
Crystal Palace will be keen to shore things up at the back after shipping five goals in consecutive games at Manchester City and Newcastle. They may succeed in that endeavour, given none of the last eight meetings between this pair have featured more than two goals, but it is Bournemouth who look likelier to snatch the points in a tight affair. Take a chance on a 1-0 win for the visitors.
Since the start of February, Southampton have twice sustained 3-1 defeats and there could be a repeat of that scoreline when they visit West Ham.
Bet Of The Day Tip
Newcastle are on a six-game winning run and they can make it seven in a row against Villa. The hosts come into the game after putting a lot into their 3-2 midweek win over PSG, which wasn’t enough to avoid a European exit. The Magpies have won the last three meetings by an aggregate score of 11-2 and can strengthen their hold on a top five spot with victory over a direct rival.
Aston Villa vs Newcastle United Bet Builder Tip
Jacob Murphy To Score Or Assist
Murphy has three goals in his last three games and four assists in his last five, so back him to make a key contribution at Villa Park.
John McGinn To Be Shown A Card
Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn has seven bookings in 28 Premier League games this season and has been booked in back-to-back games ahead of this clash. McGinn averages 1.5 fouls per-game in the league and has committed multiple infringements in four of his last six appearances in this competition.
Morgan Rogers To Have 1+ Shots On Target
Villa’s Morgan Rogers has two goals in his last four games and can at least test the keeper against Newcastle. Rogers is averaging 1.5 shots-per-game in this competition and only 0.5 are recorded as off target (0.5 on target and 0.6 blocked), so he tends to be fairly accurate.
Harvey Barnes To Have 1+ Shots On Target
Harvey Barnes is in fine form for Newcastle with four goals in his last three games. Barnes has had 18 shots across his last five games and should at least be able to record one attempt on goal at Villa Park.
Goals Galore Treble Tip
Roma are on a 16-match unbeaten run in Serie A, but their recent games have been tight affairs, with each of their last five featuring a maximum of two goals. Under 2.5 goals has also been a winning bet in seven of Verona’s previous eight fixtures.
Cadiz’s games have been low scoring affairs recently but this trip to Burgos could buck that trend. Over 2.5 goals has landed in four of Burgos’ last five at home, while there has been a bot more action in Cadiz’s road fixtures with at least three scored in three of their last five away.
Marseille ran out 5-0 winners when these two met earlier in the campaign. L’OM’s form has dipped since but they can still strike at least twice against a defence that has shipped 66 goals in 29 Ligue 1 games.
Evening Accumulator Tip
Roma are on a 16-match unbeaten run in Serie A, but their recent games have been tight affairs. Roma’s last three victories have all been by a 1-0 scoreline and all came against sides that, like Verona, are in the bottom half of the Serie A standings.
Burgos are unbeaten in seven and they’ve won their last three at home. They should be able to see off out-of-sorts Cadiz, who are winless in four and have lost three of those games.
Both teams have scored in Las Palmas’ last four league games and Atletico Madrid’s last five.
The Long Haul Both Teams To Score Accumulator Tip
Villa have scored in 15 consecutive games across all competitions and they’ve also scored in 15 successive home games in a run stretching back to November. The hosts should be able to find a way through as they bid to get back into the tie, but PSG have more than enough quality to do some damage on the break.
Real Madrid have a mountain to climb after a 3-0 defeat in the first leg and they need to throw caution to the wind when Arsenal visit the Bernabeu. That could lead to an open game with goals at both ends.
Rapid Vienna won 1-0 in Sweden courtesy of a second half own goal but the first leg of this Conference League tie was a more open affair than the scoreline suggests. Both teams had an xG of over one, and each managed five shots on target with a combined total of 28 attempts.
Both teams have scored in each of the visitors last six games and they’ve scored in six successive fixtures, while both have scored in Birmingham’s last six league games.
Both teams have scored in Lyon’s last four games and they’ll be coming into this game after a Europa League tie at Old Trafford on Thursday, while Les Verts are scrapping for survival and one of the worst defences in the division but they do have a decent scoring record at home.
Argentina Treble Tip
Only one point separates these sides in the standings but home advantage gives Racing a clear edge. Central Cordoba have been poor on the road with three defeats in five trips, while Racing have won three of their five at home and their two losses have come against top three sides.
Both teams to score is the standout bet here. There have been goals at both ends in each of the last three meetings and in four of Tucuman’s last five games, while Independiente have seen goals at both ends in three of their last four away from home in this competition.
Newell’s are the clear underdogs here but they may be able to take at least a point. The visitors are seven-game unbeaten run, facing Boca and Argentinos Jrs during that period, while Union Santa Fe have won just two of their last six across all comps.
