Football Betting Tips
Premier League Mega Accumulator Tip
Manchester City have managed just one win in their last 12 games, losing nine times in that miserable run. Therefore, at the prices, they are hard to back against Everton, who have held title-chasing Arsenal and Chelsea to stalemates in their last two outings.
Bournemouth extended their unbeaten run to five games with a 3-0 win at Old Trafford and given they have beaten Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham at the Vitality this term, they are fancied to have too much for a Crystal Palace side who were thrashed 5-1 at home by the Gunners on Saturday.
Newcastle have claimed some big results at home this season, beating Tottenham and Arsenal as well as drawing with Liverpool and Manchester City, and they can make the most of home advantage against an Aston Villa side who have lost five of their last six trips across all competitions. Newcastle won both league meetings between these sides last season and appear to have the measure of Villa, so back the hosts to claim the spoils.
Spurs have lost four of their last seven away games in all competitions while Forest have won four of their last five home Premier League matches. The Tricky Trees are scoring goals, keeping clean sheets and managing leads well, unlike Tottenham, who are leaking goals at an alarming rate and appear to lack confidence in defence.
12 of Wolves’ last 15 games have seen both teams score in a game that also goes over 2.5 goals. There should be plenty of goals in a clash between two sides that have been leaky at the back recently.
Liverpool scored six in victory over Tottenham at the weekend and could score heavily again when they host struggling Leicester on Boxing Day. The Foxes have the worst away defensive record in the division and have conceded at least four goals in four of their last seven away games across all competitions.
Premier League Bet to Net Mega Accumulator Tip
Antoine Semenyo’s 67 shots in the Premier League can only be bettered by Erling Haaland’s 70 and the lively Ghanaian, fresh off his goal at Old Trafford last Sunday, is fancied to find the net against a shaky Crystal Palace, who have managed one clean sheet in ten games.
Cole Palmer has 11 league goals already this term and is Chelsea’s penalty taker so looks to have a solid chance of getting on the scoresheet in this clash.
Alexander Isak grabbed his first Premier League hat-trick in Newcastle’s 4-0 win at Ipswich over the weekend and has now scored in four consecutive league games. Isak has 10 goals in 15 Premier League appearances this season, putting him in fourth place in the scoring charts, and he can add to his haul against Villa over the Christmas period.
Anthony Elanga has the pace and aerial ability to continue his two-game scoring streak against A sours defence that has sprung quite a few leaks lately.
Matheus Cunha has taken all the headlines but Jorgen Strand Larsen has six goals in the Premier League this season and his physical presence could cause plenty of problems for this Manchester United defence.
Correct Score Double Tip
Newcastle have scored at least three goals in four of their last five games, while Villa have shipped 11 goals in total across their last four league trips. Unai Emery’s men have scored in five consecutive games and can at least get on the scoresheet at St James’ Park but that may be as good as it gets for Villa and we fancy a 3-1 home win.
Forest have scored multiple goals in their last three games and exactly two goals in their last two – both wins. Spurs have conceded only once across their last three away trips, but defensive injuries and the confidence being drained by shipping lots of goals at home mean this could be a tough afternoon by the Trent for them. Back a 2-1 Forest win, which would reprise the scoreline from the hosts’ last home league game against Aston Villa.
Long Haul Goals Galore Accumulator Tip
Each of the Sky Blues’ last nine competitive home games have produced at least three goals and their last five at home have totalled 19 goals, while over 2.5 goals has landed in five of Plymouth’s last six games, with these six outings averaging 4.33 goals per game.
Over 2.5 goals has landed in seven of Nottingham Forest’s last nine matches and they are coming up against a chaotic Tottenham outfit, with Ange Postecoglou’s side playing out a 5-0 win in their last trip away from north London.
Over 2.5 goals has landed in nine if Brighton’s 11 competitive outings at the Amex Stadium this season and they face a Bees side whose last six games have averaged 4.33 goals per game, with five of them going over 2.5 goals. Expect another thriller on the south coast.
Lazio’s last home game was a shock 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Inter Milan, meaning that over 2.5 goals has landed in 11 of their 12 competitive home matches this season, while Atalanta thrashed Cesena 6-1 last time out to make it 17 goals in total across their last four assignments.
Bournemouth put three past Manchester United at Old Trafford in their most recent away game, making it four successive away games in which over 2.5 goals has landed, while six of the Cottagers’ nine home games have produced three or more goals, too.
Over 2.5 goals has been a winner in nine of Posh’s last ten in all competitions and their last two at home have produced ten goals in total, while the visiting Tykes have seen three or more goals in each of their last three.
Experts' Accumulator Tip
Bournemouth put three past Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday and can continue their ascent up the table with a Boxing Day win over Crystal Palace. The Cherries, who sit eighth in the table and just three points outside the top five, haven taken 13 points from the last 15 available and the visiting Eagles are reeling after losing back-to-back games against Arsenal. Andoni Iraola’s side won both meetings with Crystal Palace last season and can take all three points on Thursday.
Bolton had won six successive home games before going down 2-0 to Wigan despite dominating possession, but they bounced back with an excellent away performance to hold highflying Wycombe to a goalless draw on Friday. They could feel the benefit of an extra day’s rest when they take on Barnsley, who have done well on the road this season but were thrashed 4-0 at home by Leyton Orient on Saturday.
The surprise package in the Premier League this season, Nottingham Forest are good value to have the late Christmas present of three points against Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day. Spurs have won just three of their eight away games in the league this season, while Forest are on a three-game winning streak going into this one.Forest have been strong at the City Ground of late, with four wins in their last five Premier League games by the Trent. Nuno Espirito Santos’ side are playing with growing confidence and are well priced to beat an injury-stricken Spurs on Boxing Day.
The Blades are four points clear of the third-placed Clarets and approach the Boxing Day showdown on a run of three straight wins without conceding.Burnley have won their last two and are unbeaten in nine so are sure to offer a stiff test of their title-winning credentials, but Chris Wilder’s men, who are unbeaten at home this season with nine wins from 10 in front of their own fans, should edge it.
United were booed off during their 3-0 home loss to Bournemouth – their fourth defeat in their last six – and Ruben Amorim is finding out fast that there is no quick fix at Old Trafford. This appears to be the worst time to be facing Wolves and it could be worth siding with the home team on Boxing Day, with even the double chance market offering plenty of value.
If Leicester play like they have so far under Ruud van Nistelrooy, it could be a cricket score when they visit Liverpool.Goalkeeper Mads Hermansen had been keeping things respectable for the Foxes but he looks set to miss out through injury. Danny Ward is a poor replacement and they have conceded six goals in the game and a half he has been between the sticks. Take the Reds -2.
Evening Accumulator Tip
Wolves have conceded twice in four of their last five, while they’ve shipped 2.5 goals per game at home this term. The hosts have conceded fewer than two goals on just one occasion at home this season, while Man United have scored twice in recent trips to Man City and Viktoria Plzen.
Both teams come in pretty evenly matched, with just two points separating them in the league. Both teams scoring is a regular occurrence in this fixture, with it happening four of the last five times they have played.
Liverpool scored six in victory over Tottenham at the weekend and could score heavily again when they host struggling Leicester on Boxing Day. The Foxes have the worst away defensive record in the division and have conceded at least four goals in four of their last seven away games across all competitions.
Stoke have conceded at least twice in each of their last five games, losing four of those contests. The hosts have lost seven of their eight clashes with the top nine, conceding at least twice in each of those losses. Back another couple of goals for this high-flying Leeds outfit.
Both Teams to Score & Win Treble Tip
12 of Wolves’ last 15 games have seen both teams score in a game that also goes over 2.5 goals. The Red Devils look well-placed to edge this one, so back them to win and concede following 2-1 victories over Viktoria Plzen and Manchester City.
Rangers will need all three points if they are to push for a title charge, and should not have an issue scoring against a leaky St Mirren defence which has let in 29 goals this season. St Mirren have been a decent form, picking up 9 points in their last five games, including a 2-1 win over Aberdeen. They’ve scored seven in their last five, so back them to net in a defeat.
Union Saint-Gilloise have been in excellent form, remaining unbeaten in their last 12 matches. They came out on top when the two sides met in the Belgian Cup earlier this month, securing a thrilling 3-2 victory. Back them to win and concede with both sides in scoring form.
Premier League Evening Double Tip
12 of Wolves’ last 15 games have seen both teams score in a game that also goes over 2.5 goals. There should be plenty of goals in a clash between two sides that have been leaky at the back recently.
Liverpool scored six in victory over Tottenham at the weekend and could score heavily again when they host struggling Leicester on Boxing Day. The Foxes have the worst away defensive record in the division and have conceded at least four goals in four of their last seven away games across all competitions.
Bet of the Day Tip
Stoke have conceded at least twice in each of their last five games, losing four of those contests. The hosts have lost seven of their eight clashes with the top nine, conceding at least twice in each of those losses. Back another couple of goals for the Championship’s top scorers.
Arsenal vs Ipswich Bet Builder Tip
Gabriel Jesus to score anytime
Gabriel Jesus has forced his way back into Mikel Arteta’s plans and the Brazilian will prove hard to drop after his recent performances.
He has scored five goals in two outings against Crystal Palace in the past week, meaning he now has six goals and two assists in his last five starts for the Gunners. Back him to punish the Tractor Boys on Friday.
Gabriel Magalhaes to score or assist
Arsenal have scored a Premier League-high nine goals from set pieces this season and star centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes has played a big part in that success.
He claimed his first assist of the season against Crystal Palace last weekend and now has three goal contributions in his last four starts for the club.
Liam Delap to commit 2+ fouls
Only Joao Gomes (39) has committed more fouls in the Premier League this season than Liam Delap (36).
The Ipswich forward has committed at least two fouls on nine occasions this season, including in five of his last seven outings.
Both teams to score – No
Arsenal have kept a clean sheet in four of their last five competitive home games and should be on for a routine victory over the struggling Ipswich on Friday.
The Tractor Boys have lost four of their last five games and have failed to score in three of them, so they may be hard-pressed to make an impact in the capital.
European Trophy Treble Tip
Real Madrid clinched a record-extending 15th Champions League trophy at Wembley last season and they look good value to make it 16 in Munich next year.
They have won 15 of their 18 appearances in the final and have won six of the last 11 instalments, with their last defeat in the final of this competition coming back in 1981 against Liverpool.
Los Blancos’ storied history in this competition would have put them among my favourites for the trophy even before their business in the summer, but the transfer window has been kind to them and they head into the 2024/25 campaign with arguably the best squad in the world.
The world-class talents of Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior remain instrumental to Carlo Ancelotti’s side, but the arrival of arguably the world’s best player in Kylian Mbappe could send them stratospheric.
As if that wasn’t enough, teenage sensation Endrick has also arrived in the Spanish capital and scored on his home debut against Real Valladolid.
Led by a manager who has won the Champions League a record five times with two separate teams, it would take a brave man to oppose Real Madrid.
Athletic Bilbao have clear motivation for a deep Europa League run – as their San Mames stadium will host the final in May. Spain star Nico Williams has hung around for another season dreaming of European glory with his boyhood club in their home ground.
Athletic won the Copa del Rey last term and they’re seen as the strongest Spanish side in the competition. With eight of the last 11 seasons seeing a Spanish winner of the Europa League, Athletic are standout value at 12/1.
Copenhagen made the Champions League last 16 earlier this year, making it through a group that contained Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Galatasaray. They finished four points off the Danish title in May and slipped into the Conference League as a result, where the change in format offers them a path to glory. After a decent summer transfer window and a strong domestic start, Copenhagen can make an impact in a competition which has a vulnerable trio of favourites.
