US Sports Best Bet Treble
Prior to last night’s win over San Antonio, the Mavs had lost 4 in a row so it’s really hard to trust them on a 2nd night of a back-to-back against the best team in the West right now. Mavs are also just 5-11 ATS in 16 games vs Oklahoma City.
The Under is 11-7-1 for the Texans’ and the Cowboys’ games combined this season and scoring can be expected to stay fairly low in this one also, with neither offence impressing of late. It’s certainly hard to see Dallas putting up more than 10 or 13 points.
It has been a disaster of a season for Nashville, but the fact remains that on paper, they have some incredible pieces and should be able to compete with anyone in this league. Vancouver is playing in their second game in as many nights. Nashville did not have to make a major trip after their most recent game, so the rest factor should be in their favor. It is still too early to count Nashville out and declare them a weak team, and I am still a believer in their potential and strength.
NHL Double Tip
Seattle is playing the tail end of a back-to-back and their third game in four nights. They have won 4 games in a row, but fatigue is going to set in at some point. New York can roll 3 lines all game and their goaltending has been very good this season. If the Kraken fall behind by a couple of goals, they don’t have the firepower to come back at make things interesting. All New York has to do is generate enough scoring chcanes to take an early lead and then play shutdown hockey.

NHL Treble Tip
The Blues are on the second night of a back to back, with both games being away. They have struggled on defence, particularly on the penalty kill, an area where the Hurricanes can take advantage, with the deadly power play they possess. I expect the Hurricanes to come out and flex their muscles, taking care of the Blues with no problems.

NHL Predictions FAQs
When do you post your NHL betting tips?
We post our NHL tips every day before 6pm. This means we’re in early enough to get the best value from the bookmakers, as well as giving you enough time to view our tips before the matches commence.
All our NHL picks are fully researched and completely free but we can’t guarantee winners. Please gamble responsibly and visit our gambling guidelines for more information (18+).
How to bet on NHL
You’ll first need some funds in an account with a bookmaker, and the best way to do this is to sign up to a bookmaker offering free bets. You can compare the best offers from all the top bookmakers on our free bets page.
In terms of betting on the game itself, you’ll want to be informed. Our NHL picks are selected by industry experts, following an exhaustive analysis of statistics, form and external factors. You can also supplement these tips with some of your own knowledge, in which case there a few factors you can consider.
First, how good is each team’s goaltender? This is the most important position on the pitch, and so can have a huge impact on the outcome of a match – or at least how many goals a certain team will concede.
Looking at form, specifically head-to-head matchups, is also recommended. In terms of looking at statistics, key figures include a team’s home record and how regularly they score and concede goals.
But, of course, our tips take all this and more into account!
Who are the best NHL teams?
To see who’s in red-hot form you can always check the NHL standings on the official NHL website here.
Traditionally, big teams include the Montreal Canadiens, the Philadelphia Flyers and the Boston Bruins. But of course, the past means nothing in NHL!

NHL betting terms explained
Money Line – This is essentially just an American term for ‘to win’. If you are backing a team on the money line then they must win for your bet to come in.
Puck Line – This works the same as handicaps in football betting. If you were to bet LA Kings -1.5 @ Boston Bruins +1.5, the Bruins must win the game outright or lose by no more than 1.5 goals for your bet to come in. If the LA Kings win, they must do so by 1.5 runs or more for your bet to win. If the spread is bet at a whole number and your team wins/loses by that exact amount, then your bet will be refunded.
Alternative Puck Line – This is the same as the standard puck line but altered to a different number of goals. Although not many bookies offer this market, some big ones like bet365 do. Since the number of goals is customisable, we often use alternative puck lines in our accumulators.
Game Totals – This is simply betting on the total number of goals scored in a game. Betting on LA Kings @ Boston Bruins – Over/Under 5.5 goals means you’d need 6 goals or more to win the Overs and 5 goals or less to win the Unders. If you bet on a whole number and your team ends up winning/losing by exactly that amount then your bet will be refunded.
Alternative Game Totals – This is the same as standard game totals but just a different number of goals.
Parlay – This is an American term for accumulators.
