Football Betting Tips
Liverpool vs Tottenham Ultimate Bet Builder Tip
Hugo Ekitike to score anytime
Hugo Ekitike has registered 31 shots on target for the Reds this season and he scored in the 2-1 win over Spurs in December. With Igor Tudor’s side looking lost at the back, he can take full advantage.
Florian Wirtz to make an assist
Wirtz recorded just his second Premier League assist of the campaign in the 4-1 win over Newcastle, having picked up his first against Tottenham late last year. However, the 22-year-old has recorded 4.13 Expected Assists, and his improving displays should see him create plenty of chances down the stretch, starting with this clash against an ailing Spurs defence.
Pape Matar Sarr to be carded
Tottenham have been shown a league-high 76 yellow cards this term, and they were dealt a fourth red of the season in their 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace in their last league outing. Sarr managed to avoid a Premier League booking through to mid-February, despite being shown 15 cautions in the prior two seasons. However, he has been booked twice in his last four Premier League games and he’s backed for another.
Pedro Porro to be carded
Porro has six Premier League bookings to his name, and the right-back has seen shown five of those on the road this term. The latest of which came in the 2-1 loss at Fulham at the start of the month. Milos Kerkez and Cody Gakpo will offer plenty of threat down Liverpool’s left, and the pair have drawn a combined 58 fouls in the league so far.
Evening Accumulator Tip
Milan are unbeaten on their travels in Serie A this season and off the back of last week’s derby success over Inter, which has reignited their title hopes, they can get the better of an underwhelming Lazio side that have won just three of their last 13 league fixtures.
Rennes have won three on the bounce under new head coach Franck Haise, with all of those victories being accompanied by clean sheets. Lille have lacked a cutting edge since the turn of the year, and with the second leg of their Europa League last 16 tie against Aston Villa to come next midweek, they may go down with a whimper at Roazhon Park.
Real Sociedad look the best bet at home to Osasuna. Osasuna’s away form is weak, with only two wins in 14 trips, and they struggle for goals on the road. Sociedad are strong at home and are scoring consistently, netting in 18 of their last 19 league games. With Osasuna also looking shaky defensively, the hosts should have enough to take the points.
Sporting Gijon host third-placed Castellon, with the hosts winning only one of their clashes with the top seven. That includes a 3-1 defeat in the reverse, along with a 3-2 home defeat to Burgos and a 3-1 home loss to Malaga. The visitors are vulnerable after losing 3-1 and 4-2 in their previous two, so side with goals here in a key game for both.
Brentford vs Wolves Bet Builder Tip
Igor Thiago to score anytime
Igor Thiago has 18 Premier League goals this term, and the forward scored twice at West Ham in the FA Cup last week. The forward has scored five goals against the league’s bottom four this term, and he meets a Wolves side that concedes too many chances.
David Moller Wolfe to commit 2+ fouls
Wolfe is set to start down the left-flank, which sees him take on two of Brentford’s most fouled players. Michael Kayode leads all Brentford players having been fouled 39 times, and right-winger Dango Ouattara has been fouled 30 times.
Adam Armstrong to be carded
Armstrong was booked four times for Southampton in the first half of the campaign, and he already has two cautions since his move to Wolves in January.
Afternoon Accumulator Tip
Rangers look the best bet away at St Mirren. They have lost only one of their last ten Premiership away games and are unbeaten in 12 league matches. St Mirren are in a slump, winning one of their last ten and losing four of the last five. They are also leaking goals, with no clean sheet in ten of the last 12, and they struggle to score at home, which makes this a tough assignment.
Mallorca look worth backing at home to Espanyol. Despite sitting lower in the table, the visitors are in a horrible run, winless in ten league games and without an away win in five. Espanyol also keep conceding, with no clean sheet in 11 straight league matches and goals shipped in each of their last six away trips. That opens the door for Mallorca to finally pick up points at home.
Manchester United have won four straight home games under Michael Carrick, while Aston Villa have lost three of their four visits to the top seven.
Strasbourg have been strong at home, winning seven of their 12 Ligue 1 matches and conceding just nine goals. They sit five places and nine points above Paris, who have won only three of their 13 away games and arrive after winning just one of their last seven league fixtures.
Bet of the Day Tip
Barcelona have won all 13 of their home matches this season, but they are in the middle of a Champions League last 16 tie. They meet a Sevilla side who have scored in their last eight league games, while BTTS has landed in four straight meetings between the pair.
Champions League Last 16 Accumulator Tip
Atletico Madrid were handily beaten by Arsenal and Liverpool in the League Phase, while they were a mess defensively against Club Brugge in the last round. Spurs won all four home games on their way to finishing fourth in the first round, and they can match an Atletico side who have been far from dominant in Europe in recent seasons.
Sporting are arguably the weakest of the top-eight sides, while Bodo have won four straight European games including home and away victories over Inter Milan. The Norwegian side went to the semis in the Europa League last year, and they can see off a Sporting side who overperformed their xG numbers at a huge rate in the League Phase.
While Chelsea beat PSG 3-0 in the summer’s Club World Cup, Enzo Maresca’s tactical tweaks were key in that victory. Months on, and the Blues look to have gone backwards. PSG clearly took issue with the Blues, and they can claim some revenge after eliminating three Premier League sides on their way to last season’s final.
These two sides are meeting in the knockouts for the fifth straight year, and Real Madrid have won three of the previous four meetings, including the last two. The Spanish giants have won eight of their last 10 under new boss Arbeloa at the time of the draw, and they are one of the few sides in Europe with the individual talent to match City.
Goals Galore Accumulator Tip
Heracles have been disappointing defensively this season, conceding 65 goals in 26 Eredivisie games. There have been four or more goals in 12 of AZ’s 26 league matches and that trend can continue against a side who have shipped four goals on six occasions this term, including each of their previous three on the road.
Feyenoord have scored three or more times in nine of their 26 Eredivisie games this season, including their 3-3 draw at NAC Breda last weekend. There have been four goals or more in 12 of their matches, and they host an Excelsior side who have lost 5-1 and 5-0 at the rest of the top three.
Anderlecht are in fine form going forward, having netted 11 goals across their last three games. However, they’ve struggled in their toughest away tests, shipping at least two goals away to each of the top nine sides they’ve faced, winning none. Hosts Mechelen haven’t kept a clean sheet at home to a top-eight side, so both sides can play their part in a high-scoring game.
Premier League Mega Accumulator Tip
Leeds have improved in their away trips of late, earning draws at Everton, Chelsea, and Aston Villa. They meet a Palace side who will switch their focus to Europe for the time being, while the Eagles have lost six of eight league games directly following European action, including December’s 4-1 thumping at Elland Road. The hosts have suffered five defeats across their last eight home league games.
Manchester United have won four straight home games under Michael Carrick, while Aston Villa have lost three of their four visits to the top seven.
Forest are winless in their last six Premier League matches while Fulham have won four and drawn one of their last eight away league trips. The Cottagers have won six of their last seven games against Forest, who have scored just once in their last five home league games.
Tottenham have lost six games in a row in all competitions and the manner of their 5-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid was alarming. They should be able to get on the scoresheet for the sixth game running, with Arne Slot’s side conceding in four consecutive matches.
Both Teams to Score Accumulator Tip
Cagliari have managed only one clean sheet on their travels this season, with all four of their visits to the bottom five seeing both teams score. The reverse fixture in Sardinia finished as a 2-2 draw, and Pisa have seen BTTS land in three of their last four at home.
Both teams can find the net in this one. Estoril have scored three goals or more in nine of their 25 Primeira Liga games this season, and they’ve netted 19 strikes across their seven visits to sides below them in the standings. In addition, 15 of Nacional’s 25 matches in the league have seen both teams score, including their previous two.
Suditrol could use a boost after winning only one of their last four, and they host bottom side Pescara on Sunday. The hosts have won and conceded in three of their four home meetings with the bottom five, and they drew 1-1 at the basement club earlier this season. Pescara average over a goal per game on their travels, and they’ve shown positive signs by scoring eight goals across a three-game unbeaten run.
Tottenham have lost six games in a row in all competitions and the manner of their 5-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid was alarming. They should be able to get on the scoresheet for the sixth game running, with Arne Slot’s side conceding in four consecutive matches.
Bet to Net Double Tip
Sesko has scored in three of his last four games for United and he can continue his impressive form against a Villa side who are in the middle of a busy run of games.
Hugo Ekitike has registered 31 shots on target for the Reds this season and he scored in the 2-1 win over Spurs in December. With Igor Tudor’s side looking lost at the back, he can take full advantage.
Correct Score Double Tip
United have won nine of 14 home games overall and four from four under Michael Carrick, scoring at least twice in each of those wins under their interim boss. Villa are looking a little goal-shy of late, so back a 2-0 win for the Red Devils.
Liverpool have scored four or more goals against Tottenham in their last four ties at Anfield and this should be another entertaining affair. Slot’s side are not as explosive as they were last season, but they should have far too much quality for their visitors.
Experts' Accumulator Tip
Simon: Palace should have enough firepower to take another three points against a Leeds side that has lost four and drawn three times in London since their last victory in the capital in September 2023.
Henry: Villa have been faltering, but Unai Emery’s men played well in a 1-0 win at Lille on Thursday night and they look over priced given the kind run of games that United have faced.
Alex W: Fourth-place Lyon are evens to get the better of Le Havre on Sunday, but this tie comes sandwiched between two Europa League fixtures against Celta Vigo. Lyon’s 1-1 draw in Spain on Thursday leaves them winless in five attempts and Le Havre have lost just three home Ligue 1 games all season.
Alex: Tottenham Hotspur appear to be in freefall right now and they meet a Liverpool side who have won the last four head-to-head clashes. In the last two meetings between these sides at Anfield, Liverpool have won 4-0 in the EFL Cup and 5-1 in the Premier League.
Both Teams to Score & Win Double Tip
Barcelona have won all 13 of their home matches this season, but they are in the middle of a Champions League last 16 tie. They meet a Sevilla side who have scored in their last eight league games, while BTTS has landed in four straight meetings between the pair.
Tottenham have lost six games in a row in all competitions and the manner of their 5-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid was alarming. They should be able to get on the scoresheet for the sixth game running, with Arne Slot’s side conceding in four consecutive matches.
Mega Accumulator Tip
Barcelona have won all 13 of their home matches this season, but they are in the middle of a Champions League last 16 tie. They meet a Sevilla side who have scored in their last eight league games, while BTTS has landed in four straight meetings between the pair.
Freiburg are strong at home, winning six of their last eight Bundesliga matches on their own ground and going 11 home games without defeat. They sit three places above Union Berlin, who have won just one of their last ten league matches and arrive on the back of five defeats in seven.
Real Betis look the best bet at home to Celta Vigo. They sit fifth and have been strong at the Villamarin, losing only one of their last eight home league games. Betis also score plenty against top-half opponents, while Celta’s defence has been shaky lately, without a clean sheet in five of their last seven. Betis should have enough to get the win.
It should be a cracking clash for two teams looking for Champions League qualification but Stuttgart, who have lost just one of their last 12 league games, just look to hold the edge.
Milan are unbeaten on their travels in Serie A this season and off the back of last week’s derby success over Inter, which has reignited their title hopes, they can get the better of an underwhelming Lazio side that have won just three of their last 13 league fixtures.
