The phenomenal afternoon started with our Half Time Accumulator. This is a bet we post at 3:45 during the half time break of the 3pm kick-offs. It’s a bet we’ve been so unlucky with this season being 1 away on countless occasions so it was great to see it land today!
First up was Manchester United as Perriera converted on a rare start for the youngster as they went on to win a thriller 3-2 at Old Trafford. Neal Maupay was at his clinical best as he converted a penalty for Brentford sending them on their way to a 3-0 victory over QPR. Luton followed soon after as Danny Hylton got his 5th goal of the season to keep Luton’s unbeaten home record this season in tact. The last 2 goals came late on, Andone converted a huge goal for Brighton as they beat all but relegated Huddersfield to boost their chances of survival. Finally Burnley bagged a late consolation goal in a game they lost 3-1 to an impressive Crystal Palace side, of whom on-loan forward Michy Batshauyi scored again.
13/1 Win Accumulator
First up we head to Griffin Park as a superb second half display saw Brentford thrash QPR 3-0 to give the Bees their 3rd win in 4 league games. Maupay opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Benrahma and Canos added to the lead to make it a comfortable afternoon for the home side
Next up was the Canaries as Norwich travelled to struggling Millwall. Earlier in the season Millwall were leading at Carrow Road going into injury time yet Norwich still managed to turn the game around. This game went into half time 1-1 as Williams cancelled out Stiepermann’s opener. Zimmermann and top scorer Teemu Pukki fired goals for Norwich in the 2nd half as they went back top of the table.
Next up was the incredible Luton Town who are having a fantastic season in League One. They were unbeaten at home with 13 wins and 4 draws this season and 13 wins became 14 as they cruised to a 2-0 victory against struggling Rochdale. Hylton and top scorer Collins bagged for the hosts as they went clear at the top of League One.
Pompey up next as they faced a must win game to keep hopes of automatic promotion alive. They faced a Bradford side struggling at the bottom of the table and the Bantams caused them little problems as Portsmouth romped to a 5-1 win. Goals for Evans, Naylor, Lowe and a brace from Close put the game to bed as Bradford got on the scoresheet thanks to Hope Akpan
Finally we head to League Two and to complete the accumulator we needed a win from promotion hopefuls MK Dons against a Crawley side looking to avoid relegation. The game was a lot closer than expected however the home side got the win we needed thanks to a goal from Kieran Agard, who netted his 15th league goal of the season.
Bet of the Day
Brighton were our Bet of the Day on Saturday and they made hard work of what should have been a straight forward game against the leagues basement club Huddersfield Town. They did however get the win they deserved in the end thanks to Florin Andone who came on for Glenn Murray in the second half, bagging his 3rd goal of the season. We have now landed 7 of our last 8 Saturday Bet of the Day bets with the other being a refund.
Daily Treble
Brighton were a massive part of today’s success as Florin Andone’s goal also landed our Daily Treble along with our Bet of the Day and half time accumulator.
Swansea City were the next team in our treble and they had a hard fought game against struggling Bolton in a game which the away side went down to 10 men and then 9 men as Noone and Wheater got their marching orders. Late on they got the breakthrough as Oliver McBurnie and Celina fired the Welsh side to a 2-0 victory.
Luton were the 3rd part of the treble and as aforementioned they cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over the struggling Rochdale to give them a great chance of winning the league and promotion to the Championship.
