You couldn’t ask for a better start to the week!
The World Cup hasn’t even started yet and FST are on fire, our football analysts have once again produced the goods and landed a 10/1 Football Accumulator Monday night!
Four games of football helped us to grabbed our winner, here is how it all unfolded:
10/1 Football Accumulator Lands
We’d love to say that all the games went in our favour easily but as we know at FST it’s never quite that easy.
The first game got underway at 6:00pm over in the Superettan were we correctly backed AFC Eskilstuna to draw or defeat 10th ranked side Jonkopings Sodra to keep their position towards the top of the table. The game ended 0-0 with Eskilstuna dominating the ball and game, having 16 shots to their opponents 2, it was unfortunate they didn’t get a goal to get the accumulator off to a more convincing start!
The attention then turned to two of the international friendlies where Morocco hoped to get their World Cup preparations off to a good start whilst two of the biggest teams not in the World Cup faced off. The first half in both games remained goalless, however fortunately so as Netherlands conceded an early goal to Italy which thankfully was disallowed. The second half is where the action came and FST got a sweat on!
In 59th minute against the run of play Morocco conceded a goal that put the accumulator on the ropes before Italy also went and scored against Netherlands, making the task at hand even harder. However, fortunate turned and Morocco managed to display their quality to overcome the one nil deficit – over in Turin it wasn’t so easy though. In the 69th minute Italy had a man dismissed but they still was keeping the ball well and it looked like the goal wasn’t coming for the Netherlands however in the 88th minute the late goal struck again as Nathan Ake managed to capitalise on a chance and lead the acca into the last leg.
Parana had not been in great form so far in the league only managing to pick up three points however out expert analysts had faith in them picking up atleast a point in their game against Fluminese and their faith paid off as Parana dominated the game going 2-0 up before conceding a late goal but at that point the acca looked all but landed! Thankfully, they help on and managed to secure us our Monday night winner.
