Fulham vs Middlesbrough Bet Builder Selections
I’ve picked out Fulham as my Championship winners this term thanks to the quality in their squad and I expect him to make a good start. Marco Silva made a big impact after arriving at Hull and Watford and his Everton spell was good before tailing off. The Portuguese inherits a really strong side with so much experience at this level and we’re backing them to impress from day 1, with Fulham to win the first tip here.
A big part of Fulham’s Championship hopes fall on Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has been given a new lease of life at the club after Scott Parker’s departure. The new Bournemouth boss left Mitrovic out frequently last term, having seen the Serbian win the Championship’s golden boot the season before. Having scored 38 goals in 57 games at this level with Fulham, back Mitrovic to score anytime.
The gap in quality of these two is seen in their attacking options, with Middlesbrough’s biggest threat coming from midfield. Marcus Tavernier led the way in shots per game for Boro last term and he also averaged the most shots on target per game. He’ll look to get forward from midfield and we like Tavernier to have at least one shot on target here.
We’re wrapping up our selections with two players to be booked. Sam Morsy is among the favourites in this market, having topped the charts for Boro last term in both fouls per game and yellow cards accumulated. The midfielder will have a big job on his hands this weekend and we’re backing Morsy to be booked.
Finally, Anthony Knockaert to be booked is our last selection with the winger picking up seven yellow cards during his last season at this level with Fulham. He was also carded five times for Forest last season at this level while on loan, so we’re backing him to be cautioned on Sunday.
