19/1 Experts' Best Bets Accumulator for Saturday

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

The international break has hit the weekend’s football schedule, but there’s plenty of action from across England to enjoy. With focus turning to League One and below, we’ve enlisted three Racing Post tipsters to give us their best bets.

That includes Dan Childs, who enters this weekend on a four-tip winning streak. You can see where he’s going next below, while there are more tips for this weekend over in our match predictions section.

Cheltenham vs MK Dons – Both teams to score at 4/5

Cheltenham have arrived in League One in high-scoring fashion, with both teams scoring in all five of their games since winning promotion. However, they do look a little outmatched at this level and we should see that on Saturday.

MK Dons are the highest-scoring side in League One but they’re not without defensive issues, so both teams to score seems well priced in this one.

Altrincham vs Dover – Altrincham to win at 3/5

Dover look in real trouble in the National League after two defeats in two games so far, meaning they have been unable to make a dent in the -12 points they started on. Altrincham are playing their first home game of the season and managed an eye-catching 3-1 win at Torquay in their curtain raiser before going down 2-0 at a good Halifax outfit last time out.

Alty had a poor home record last season but they are unbeaten in their last four competitive outings at home and should have too much for a Dover side who are yet to score this season, as such I’m expecting a comfortable home win in this one.

Port Vale vs Rochdale – Port Vale to win at 21/20

League Two promotion hopefuls Port Vale have had a few teething problems after a busy summer in the transfer market but they were eyecatching 2-0 winners at leaders Forest Green last Saturday and can follow up with a home win over Rochdale.

Vale’s only league loss (a 1-0 reverse at Northampton on the opening weekend) was influenced by goalkeeper Lucas Covolan’s 55th minute dismissal. Darrell Clarke’s side are boosted by the return of key midfielder Tom Conlon after injury and could be too strong for Dale, who have taken just five points from five games since relegation from League One.

Newport County vs Leyton Orient – Leyton Orient draw no bet at 8/11

Newport County claimed a morale-boosting win over Plymouth in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday, having lost their previous two fixtures 3-0 against Salford in League Two and 8-0 at home to Southampton in the EFL Cup.

The Exiles may be brought back down to earth in a tricky home league fixture against Leyton Orient, who have been competing well with some decent opponents in the fourth tier.

Orient beat promotion hopefuls Bradford last weekend and they have also thumped Exeter 3-0 and drawn with Salford and Carlisle in the early stages of the campaign so they look worth a punt with the draw no bet at Rodney Parade.

Accrington vs Shrewsbury – Accrington to win at 21/20

Accrington Stanley were defeated by MK Dons 2-0 last time out but are difficult opponents in their own backyard, having beaten Cambridge and Doncaster at the Wham Stadium this season, and they can add Shrewsbury to their list of scalps.

Salop have lost four of their opening five fixtures in League One and were downed by Crewe in their opening EFL Trophy contest last time out.
