Julian Alvarez to score anytime
Julian Alvarez netted when these two sides clashed last month and the former Manchester Cuty forward has been key to Atletico’s strong season. He’s scored four times across his previous three appearances and his return of six goals in eight Champions League games proves his impact at the highest level.
This Real Madrid defence still doesn’t look entirely solid, so Alvarez is a big price to find the back of the net.
Clement Lenglet to be carded
Lenglet was booked when these two met in La Liga recently, and the defender has seven cautions to his name in the league. The Frenchman has been booked in four of his previous six away trips, while he has received a booking in four of his previous five encounters with Real.
Lenglet hasn’t been booked in the Champions League so far this term, but this test against Kylian Mbappe proved too much last time out and he’s a great option to have his name taken in this first-leg.
Vinicius Junior to score or be shown a card
Finally, Vinicius Junior is a great option for a goalscorer and card double, but he’s available at evens here to just do one or the other. The Brazilian winger has nine goals and six bookings from his first 20 games in La Liga this term, including a yellow card in their weekend loss to Real Betis.
Vini Jr has scored seven goals across eight Champions League games this season, but he’s also been booked on three occasions.
PSV vs Arsenal Bet Builder
Ethan Nwaneri 2+ shots on target
Arsenal’s issues in the final third are expected to continue in Eindhoven, with Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli all missing out. However, this is a PSV side that concede too many chances. The Dutch side have shipped five goals to Go Ahead Eagles in two games across the last week, while they have let in 15 goals in 10 matches in Europe.
PSV keeper Walter Benitez has made 32 saves in nine appearances, so the Gunners will get chances even if they lack cutting edge. That marks out Nwaneri, who had shots on target against Sporting, Monaco and Girona in the League Phase. He’ll play a bigger role in this contest, so back him for a couple of efforts on target.
Jurrien Timber to be carded
Jurrien Timber is quietly building up a reputation for piling up cards, as he now has seven in the Premier League alone this term. The defender was cautioned in a victory over Dinamo Zagreb earlier in this competition and he’s a good price for another booking on Tuesday.
PSV’s threat tends to come down the flanks and they’ll look to test Arsenal in those areas. Timber has made the fourth-most fouls for Arsenal in the Champions League this term, only behind the three attacking players who will miss this clash. Given the threat he’s likely to face, back him to end up in the book.
Ismael Saibari to be fouled 2+ times
Arsenal’s midfield will be aiming to keep things quiet but they’ll face a physical test against Saibari, who likes to break out of PSV’s midfield three and get on the end of chances.
Saibari has been fouled at least twice in each of his last four Champions League games, while the midfielder has equally fouled 12 times and drawn 12 fouls across 642 minutes in the competition. It’s easy to see him raising tensions with an Arsenal side who lack discipline, so back Saibari to be fouled at least twice.
