The opening round of the Europa League has taken centre stage this week, but that has been far from the only action to sink our teeth into and it was fixtures from the Carabao Cup that helped us to a massive 21/1 winner on Wednesday!
That was one of four successes for FST’s crack team of tipsters, so let’s take a look at how the action unfolded on Wednesday evening!

- AZ Alkmaar 3-2 Elfsborg
- Arsenal 5-1 Bolton
- Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
The action in Alkmaar got our big winner underway, but it wasn’t plain-sailing in the Netherlands as Elfsborg took a first-half lead. Fortunately, Ruben van Bommel brought the hosts back into the game just before the break, and then doubled his tally shortly after half-time.
Elfsborg hit back immediately, though, but former Tottenham man Troy Parrott saved the day with a winning penalty 15 minutes before the end.
Our final two legs turned our attention to the Carabao Cup, and things went a lot more smoothly back on familiar shores.
Arsenal were 3-0 up by the 50th minute before an Aaron Collins consolation for Botlon all but secured that leg, while at Anfield the hosts recovered from an early own goal by Jarell Quansah to hammer West Ham and land us a tasty winner!
Elsewhere, Barcelona’s 1-0 win over Getafe landed our 1/1 Bet of the Day tip, and overnight we saw Chilean outfit Universidad Catolica recover from an early setback to thrash Copiapo 4-1, aided by two red cards for the visitors, to land our Overnight Best Bet.
Sticking on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, a 9-6 win for the Philadelphia Phillies saw our MLB Best Bet sail in.
