38/1 Goals Galore Accumulator running from Tuesday to Sunday!

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

The final week of action before the March international break is another busy one, with the last 16 wrapping up in the European competitions, a bumper midweek card from the EFL and a busy weekend of domestic action.

If you’re looking for entertainment throughout this week then we have you covered, as this week’s Long Haul features six games where we’re backing over 2.5 goals. You can back this sixfold at 38/1 below!

Goals Galore Long Haul

Tuesday – Derby County vs Coventry

Coventry City’s brilliant form continued with Saturday’s 3-2 win over Stoke, but that game put the spotlight on some defensive issues for Frank Lampard’s side. The Sky Blues lost the Expected Goals battle in that win, giving up 2.2 xG and at times towards the end Stoke looked more likely to complete their comeback with a third goal.

They head to a Derby side who claimed a key 2-1 win over Blackburn at the weekend. The Rams have to string a run together in order to avoid the drop and they have been able to trouble the sides below the top tier of promotion hopefuls this season. Derby have beaten West Brom, Bristol City, Blackburn and Middlesbrough at home, scoring eight goals in those victories.

Coventry’s five-game winning run has been entertaining, with over 2.5 goals landing in each of their previous four.

Wednesday – Aston Villa vs Club Brugge

Aston Villa struck late in Brugge last week to take a 3-1 first leg lead, putting the onus on the Belgian side to push forward in Wednesday’s rematch.

Each of Club Brugge’s previous seven matches have featured at least three goals, while they produced a 3-1 win at Atalanta in the previous round. The Belgian outfit have also scored in visits to AC Milan, Celtic and Man City this term. Villa head into the game with four wins from their last five, but their only clean sheet in their last 11 at Villa Park came against Championship strugglers Cardiff.

Thursday – Olympiakos vs Bodo / Glimt

Olympiakos have a mountain to climb in the second leg of this Europa League last 16 tie, but all is not lost for the Greek outfit. They’ve recorded two 3-0 wins across their first four home games in Europe this term. Olympiakos also looked threatening in the first leg, outshooting Bodo / Glimt 18 to 9.

The problem for Olympiakos will be keeping the visitors quiet, as they’ve scored in their previous nine Europa League games, with over 2.5 goals landing in eight. The Norwegian side tend to struggle on the road in Europe and that offers the hosts a chance, which should result in a high-scoring game.

Friday – Nice vs Auxerre

Auxerre have pulled away from danger with victories over Reims and Marseille, and the visitors head to Nice having scored twice or more in five of their last six games.

Auxerre’s record at the top sides is a mixed bag this term, but their games tend to be full of goals. They’ve beaten Marseille 3-1 on the road, while they’ve picked up 2-2 draws at Lyon and Brest. However, they’ve also suffered convincing 3-1 and 4-2 losses at Strasbourg and Monaco.

Nice have scored at least twice on nine occasions at home in Ligue 1 this season, so both sides can put on a show.

Saturday – Millwall vs Stoke City

Stoke had to suffer through Coventry’s celebrations on Saturday, with that 3-2 defeat their third high-scoring loss in four. The Potters have been beaten 4-2 by Norwich and 3-1 by Middlesbrough in the last few weeks, coming after it appeared they had turned a corner with a 3-1 win over Swansea.

Millwall picked up a 2-1 victory at Watford last weekend, but they have managed only one clean sheet across their last 10 home matches in the Championship. Stoke’s awful return of 11 defeats from 18 on the road should offer the Lions a chance to cause problems, but the visitors are at least clicking going forward.

Sunday – Dundee United vs Dundee

While this clash is overshadowed by the Old Firm game happening a few hours before, this could be the more entertaining part of Sunday’s Scottish Premiership double header.

These two sides have played put two 2-2 draws in the league this term and over 2.5 goals has landed in nine of the visitors’ previous 10. Dundee’s last five matches have finished with both teams scoring, but they’ve conceded 11 times in that stretch while suffering four defeats.

The Tangerines picked up a solid 2-2 draw at Aberdeen last weekend, so another high-scoring draw between the two wouldn’t be a shock.
