42/1 Ultimate Bet Builder for the Manchester derby!

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

Sunday’s Manchester derby doesn’t have the same prestige given the struggles of both sides, but it’s a crucial game for Man City’s Champions League push.

Pep Guardiola’s side have looked better since the international break and I’ve sided with them in our Man United vs Man City predictions. However, I’ve dug into the player markets to produce a 42/1 Ultimate Bet Builder for the clash.

Manchester United vs Manchester City Ultimate Bet Builder

Omar Marmoush to score

While Erling Haaland’s injury is a setback for City, their January move for Marmoush has cushioned the blow. The forward has scored in three consecutive games, including last weekend’s winner at Bournemouth.

The forward was brilliant in the Bundesliga for Frankfurt before his January switch and he’ll need to continue that form as he looks to carry City to Champions League qualification. The Citizens have created chances at a good rate against the league’s weaker sides and United certainly fit in that category.

Nico O’Reilly to make an assist

After playing a key role in City’s FA Cup run, midfielder Nico O’Reilly looks to have broken into the side. He scored in wins over Plymouth and Salford on their way to Wembley, while he made two assists in the win at Bournemouth playing as an overlapping full-back.

Shifting Josko Gvardiol to centre-half looks to have balanced out City’s backline, with O’Reilly offering plenty of attacking support from left-back. He’ll find plenty of space against a United side that operates with Diogo Dalot at right-wing-back, so back O’Reilly to create another goal.

Patrick Dorgu to be fouled 2+ times

On the opposite flank, Patrick Dorgu has had a mixed start at wing-back since his January move to Old Trafford. However, the defender does tend to rack up fouls and he’ll be going forward against Matheus Nunes and Savinho.

Dorgu drew four fouls in his start for Denmark during the international break, while he has been fouled twice or more in six of his first seven appearances for United. That includes drawing six fouls against Real Sociedad in his last home game, so back him to win a couple of fouls in this encounter.

Noussair Mazraoui to make 2+ fouls

While Dorgu wins fouls, he doesn’t offer much cover for Mazraoui, who has been pushed inside on the left of United’s back three. He has made at least two fouls in four of his last six matches and this contest will be much tougher.

Nunes and Savinho will threaten down City’s right, with Guardiola expected to pick a younger side which can get out in transition. That should put the United defence in some awkward positions, so back Mazraoui to make another couple of fouls.
