53/1 Tennis Mega Accumulator lands on Wednesday!

A great day of tennis for us in Dubai saw our Mega Tennis Accumulator land on Wednesday evening at fantastic odds of 53/1!

It was a four-fold Tennis Accumulator that went as follows.

French ace Gael Monfils was first up for us, and we needed him to keep up his fine recent form by recording a straight-sets victory over Marcos Baghdatis. We were confident with this leg as Gael Monfils was coming into this match on a six-match winning streak and in great form after winning the Rotterdam Open a couple of weeks ago. Monfils didn’t disappoint, as he recorded an extremely comfortable straight-sets victory over his Cypriot opponent. The accumulator was off to a great start.

Next up for us was Stefanos Tsitsipas. We needed the Greek ace to replicate Monfils’ result and beat Egor Gerasimov in straight-sets. Like Monfils, Tsitsipas has been in great form of late, and so we were fairly confident he would get the job done for us. Stefanos delivered, and he not only kept our accumulator alive, but extended his winning streak to six-matches. We were now halfway through our accumulator, and things were looking good.

Tennis great Roger Federer was next up for us, and this leg was tricky. Federer was facing Fernando Verdasco, and we needed the Swiss ace to beat Verdasco, but by a 2-1 score line. Roger Federer had won all six of the previous meetings between these two, and so we were confident he would once again beat his Spanish opponent. However, Federer didn’t look entirely on top of his game in his first round victory, and so we thought Verdasco would trouble him. It proved to be the case, and after Verdasco won the second set, Federer bounced back to win the third set, and take the match by a 2-1 score line. We were onto the final leg!

While we were now onto the final leg of the accumulator, we were by no means home. The final result we needed was for Borna Coric to beat Tomas Berdych by a 2-1 score line. If you had looked at the form book and the head-to-head record between these two, Tomas Berdych was probably the favourite to win this match. However, Coric picked up a big 2-1 victory in the last round, and we were confident that that victory was the win he needed to kick start his season. We were proven right. While Berdych did win the first set in dominant fashion, we were confident Coric would fight back. This proved to be the case, and after winning the second set, Coric managed to come through a final set tie-break to win a three-set battle. Coric had won, and our 53/1 Mega Accumulator had landed! What a day!
