Arsenal’s silverware hopes took a hit in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday when they suffered a first-leg defeat to Newcastle. The Gunners could see themselves effectively out of both domestic cups in the space of a week, as they host Manchester United on Sunday in the FA Cup Third Round.
