9/1 Win Accumulator lands on Monday night!

We’re ending the decade with another acca winner as our  9/1 accumulator landed on Monday 30th December. All 5 of the fixtures came from the Welsh Premier League and here is how the drama unfolded!

The first game saw Connah’s Quay host Airbus UK and given the current form of the away side, there was always going to be a doubt on them taking something from the game. We waited just 15 minutes for Quay to take the lead and it wasn’t too long before they went 2-0 ahead. Airbus UK grabbed a late goal in the 94th minute but couldn’t manage to complete the comeback and picked up a 6th straight league loss on the road.

We cross over to Cardiff for the next leg as Cardiff Met Uni took on Barry Town. The away side sat 9 points ahead in the table prior to kick-off and we backed them to go 12 points clear of the hosts and they managed to do just that. It wasn’t a great watch for any neutrals but Barry Town grabbed a 46th-minute winner to keep the acca rolling on the night.

Off to the North of Wales for leg 3 for the clash between 3rd and 5th as Bala Town welcomed Caernarfon Town. With 5 wins in their last 6 home league games, we picked Bala to pick up the win in this one. It took just 10 minutes for the opener as former Fylde midfielder Henry Jones gave us an early advantage. Caernarfon failed to trouble the hosts and went on to lose 3-0 to move us on to the penultimate leg.

Newtown went to Aberystwyth Town without a loss in their last 5 games and we backed them to grab at least a draw in this one. Everything looked brilliant in the 3rd minute when the visitors took the lead but the hosts gave us a late scare with an 83rd-minute equaliser. Newtown managed to succumb the pressure and grab all 3 points in the 93rd minute.

Our final leg was surely the most dramatic as league leaders The New Saints played a home game against Cefn Druids. TNS had lost just 2 of their previous 17 home games and we backed yet another winner for them in this one. It took 63 minutes for the first goal in this one and sure enough, it was the visitors who went ahead. An 89th-minute equaliser looked to snatch a point for the hosts but they bettered it with an incredible 94th-minute winner. Not only did they maintain their position at the top of the table but they also gave us a tasty 9/1 winning accumulator ahead of 2020!

We’re extremely happy to end 2019 with a winner and from all of us at FST, we hope you all have a Happy New Year!
