Despite this year’s title race heading down to the wire, there is a clear consensus among our experts about where the trophy is heading next term.
Alex Wrigley
Manchester City can be found as long as 13/10, and at that price they are impossible to ignore. Pep Guardiola’s side proved once again they are an unstoppable force this season and retain world-class quality across the pitch. Arsenal are close, but I cannot see past the serial winners of the Cityzens.
Aidan Perkins
It is incredibly hard to look past Manchester City, once again. Arsenal will have learned plenty from another title race and they stayed the distance this time so I expect the Gunners will be the closest challengers again. But when it gets to March, City turn into a relentless machine and I can see a repeat performance.
Gareth Freeman
It should be a two-horse race between Arsenal and Manchester City and the latter have to be the pick. The Gunners rely heavily on a few key men, whereas City are just strong in all areas. Nobody has ever done it five times in a row – but that could end up being just another record broken by Pep Guardiola.
Jack Ogalbe
Manchester City. Everyone but them and Arsenal are in transition, some perpetually so, but I’m unsure if the Gunners can sign the additional game-changers required to push them to the next level. City have a team of them and wherever they are at Christmas, it feels inevitable that they will go on another run.
