With 12 gameweeks remaining, the end of the season is on the horizon and the Premier League relegation battle is heating up and this week we’ve asked our experts for the most likely winner of the race to stay in the top flight.
Southampton have been cut adrift at the bottom of the table and look dead certs to return to the second tier, but Ipswich and Leicester are still within touching distance of safety and will be hoping they can leapfrog Wolves in the coming months.

Wolves’ gave themselves a huge boost in their bid for survival by beating Bournemouth on Saturday, opening up a five-point gap between themselves and the bottom three.
Vitor Pereira’s side look like an improving outfit and I expect them to build on that win at the Vitality and comfortably avoid the drop.

It’s an awful cliche, but Wolves are too good to go down. Results haven’t always been perfect under Vitor Pereira but he has changed their mentality.
There’s a steel about them now and they also have Matheus Cunha. The Brazilian is arguably the league’s best player not currently at a ‘top’ club and can carry their survival push.

The second half of Wolves’ defeat at Anfield last Sunday gave two big signs as to why they will be the team to survive.
They prevented Liverpool from having a single shot – a solid defence can do wonders in a relegation battle – and Matheus Cunha scored again. The Brazilian is the best player in any of the struggling sides and he can drag them to safety.
Henry Hardwicke
Ipswich made some decent additions in the winter transfer window and I think the Tractor Boys have the spirit and structure to finish above Wolves and Leicester.
