Back-to-back Premier League mega winners cap off great week for FST!
Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.
What’s better than landing one Premier League Mega in midweek? Doubling up with another winner in the middle of a hugely successful weekend for our FST tipsters!
After securing a huge 135/1 winner for FST followers in midweek, Gareth Freeman put together a 110/1 winner spanning across Saturday and Sunday’s matches.
On top of that, there were plenty more acca wins to celebrate this weekend, so let’s look back on a great couple of days of tipping.
Another Premier League mega lands
- Brentford and BTTS (vs Nottingham Forest)
- Brighton & Over 2.5 goals (vs Wolves)
- Bournemouth to win (vs Leeds)
- Newcastle -1 (vs Southampton)
- Liverpool and BTTS (vs Tottenham)
Results:
- Brentford 2-1 Nottingham Forest
- Brighton 6-0 Wolves
- Bournemouth 4-1 Leeds
- Newcastle 3-1 Southampton
- Liverpool 4-3 Tottenham
While we had just two legs of the acca taking place on Saturday, there was late drama from the off. Forest took a 1-0 lead through Danilo in the first half and it took until the 82nd minute for Brentford to equalise. The Bees hit a winner in the 94th minute to secure the win and keep our bet alive.
Brighton had an easier time of things, thumping Wolves 6-0 with four goals within the first 40 minutes. That sent us on to Sunday, where Bournemouth cruised to a 4-1 win over Leeds to ease any lingering relegation fears. While Newcastle fell behind in their 2pm game, the Magpies fought back for a 3-1 victory.
That sent the acca on to its final leg, the showdown between Liverpool and Tottenham at Anfield. The acca was both lost and won during added time, with Spurs making it 3-3 in the 93rd minute before Diogo Jota’s late strike sent Reds supporters – and FST backers – into raptures.
Keep an eye on our Premier League predictions page for Gareth’s next acca covering the four midweek games.
More weekend winners
That wasn’t it for the weekend winners, as we’d already landed a 20/1 Evening Accumulator on Saturday night. Wins for Benfica, Tenerife, Barcelona and Atalanta landed that one, with la Dea on double duty as that day’s Bet of the Day tip.
Newcastle hitting three goals landed Sunday’s 13/10 Bet of the Day, which was over 2.5 goals for the Magpies. It was a high-scoring day of action, which we capitalised on with an 8/1 Match Goals Accumulator. We had backed over 2.5 at Wolfsburg, Fiorentina, Marseille and Valladolid in our final football winner of the weekend.
However, more success was to come stateside, as each of our Best Bets across the NHL, NBA and MLB landed. We had backed those as a 9/1 treble which also rolled in, thanks to victories for the Florida Panthers, Golden State Warriors and Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Miami Heat’s upset in the big apple against the New York Knicks also helped to seal our NBA Double, meaning we ended up with eight winners on Sunday alone!
