The EFL Cup semi-final first legs take place this week and on Wednesday Tottenham and Liverpool lock horns in North London.

I’ve covered in our dedicated Match Predictions section and now I’ve delved into the player markets to put together this 43/1 Bet Builder Tip.

I’ve used Paddy Power to put together this tip and existing customers can add this to their betslip in a single click below, while new customers can sign up to claim up to £50 in free Bet Builders.

43/1 Spurs vs Liverpool EFL Cup Bet Builder Tip

Cody Gakpo To Have 2+ Shots On Target

I’ve backed a Cody Gakpo goal in the main preview but at a slightly bigger price the Dutchman to have two or more attempts on target looks a better option for this Bet Builder. Gakpo averages three shots-per-game in this competition and overall he sees just over half of his attempts go down as on target, with a further 25% blocked, so he may be able to at least test the keeper twice.

Dominic Solanke To Have 2+ Shots On Target

Another big price option, backing Dominic Solanke to have two or more attempts on target has a chance. The Spurs forward averages 2.5 attempts per-game overall in the Premier League and at home that figure stands at 3.0. Like Gakpo, he gets around half of his attempts on target and as such averages over one attempt per-game on target.

Djed Spence To Commit 1+ Fouls

Tottenham defender Djed Spence committed three fouls in the win over Manchester United in the previous round and has committed at least one in three of his last four league appearances.

Conor Bradley To Commit 2+ Fouls

Conor Bradley should get the nod for Liverpool ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold. Bradley returned from a long lay-off as a late substitute in the draw with Manchester United and it could take a game or two for him to get fully back up to speed. The 21-year-old committed three fouls across his last two games prior to his injury absence, and at an odds-against price looks worth backing to commit two on Wednesday as he isn’t afraid to make challenges and will be coming up against some quick Spurs forwards.
