I’ve used Paddy Power to put together this tip and all these selections are covered by their Super Sub offer, meaning if the chosen player is subbed off the bet rolls over to their replacement.

3pm – Newcastle vs Aston Villa
Alexander Isak To Have 2+ Shots on Target
Newcastle striker Alexander Isak is in red-hot form with six goals across his last four appearances. Isak has had at least two shots in 10 of his last 11 Premier League appearances, only failing to do so in a game against Crystal Palace when he was forced off early.
The Sweden international averages 3.1 attempts per-game and tends to be accurate, with 1.4 attempts per-game on target and a further 0.9 blocked. With Isak in his best form of the season, back him to test the keeper at least twice.
5.30pm – Wolves vs Manchester United
Joao Gomes To Be Shown A Card
Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes returned from suspension for the win over Leicester last time out after collecting five yellow cards and he looks the standout pick for a card ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Molineux.
Gomes averages a hefty 2.4 per-game in the Premier League and has committed 10 in total across his last two appearances. A couple of fouls may be enough for a Christmas card against United on Boxing Day.
8pm – Liverpool vs Leicester
Mohamed Salah To Score Anytime
We’ll finish this bet builder off with two picks from the late game as Liverpool entertain Leicester at Anfield.
An anytime goal for Mohamed Salah looks a very strong play here as the Liverpool star is in sensational form with eight goals in his last six league games, only failing to score in one of those fixtures.
Leicester have shipped seven goals in total across their last two games and Salah looks poised to take advantage.
Virgil van Dijk To Have 1+ Shots on Target
I’ve covered this game in our Match Predictions section and have taken a chance on a Virgil van Dijk goal there, based on the high number of corners Leicester concede.
Following the same logic, backing Van Dijk to register an attempt on target at an odds-against price appeals for this bet builder. The towering Dutchman averages 0.6 attempts per-game overall and a third of those have been recorded as on target, so if he does get a chance or two on Boxing Day at least one may force a save or better.
