Chesterfield vs Oldham

Correct Score Prediction: 1-1 Draw

Chesterfield come into this game on the back of four wins from their last five games in all competitions, but Oldham have shown that they are difficult to beat even if they can’t get a win too often. The visitors have only lost twice in their last ten games, but their seven draws mean that they have only won once as well. Eight of their last ten away games have ended all square as well. Chesterfield haven’t been great on home turf either, with only one win in their last seven. This all points squarely towards a draw then, and with four of Oldhams last ten away days ending 1-1 I’m going to go for that.

Gillingham vs Bury

Correct Score Prediction: 2-2 Draw

Gillingham will be hoping to end their losing streak coming into this game, but Bury have netted eight goals in their last two games. Gillingham have also conceded seven in their last three outings, so we could be in for a high scoring match on Saturday. Bury have lost their last two away games, but before that they had won five on the trot on the road, whilst Gillingham haven’t lost in normal time at home in 11 matches. I think this will be a high scoring draw, so I’m going for 2-2.

Peterborough vs Fleetwood Town

Correct Score Prediction: 3-0 Peterborough

Peterborough have a great chance to improve their patchy form record when they host a Fleetwood Town side who are trying to escape the relegation zone. Peterborough have won two, lost two, and drawn one of their last five matches. But they will be confident on Saturday, as their opponents have only won one of their last seven away fixtures, with all of the other six ending in defeat. I’m expecting a Peterborough win on Saturday, and considering Fleetwood are struggling to score at the moment and Peterborough have netted nine in their last three I’m looking towards a 3-0 win for the home side.

Sheffield United vs Southend

Correct Score Prediction: 2-1 Sheffield United

This looks like it could be a very well matched encounter on Saturday, with both teams in fairly poor form at the moment and just one point between them from their 16 League One games so far this season. Sheffield United have lost three of their last five and won twice, with Southend losing twice, drawing twice, and winning once in the same period. But Sheffield United’s home record is in much better shape, with five of the last six games ending in victory. Southend have lost three of their last five away days. I think the home advantage will make all the difference in this one, and I’m going for a narrow 2-1 win for Sheffield United.

Ukraine vs Slovenia (17:00)

Correct Score Prediction: 2-0 Ukraine

You would be hard pressed to find a better team than Ukraine in the Euro 2016 playoffs, with their 19 point tally seeing them very narrowly miss out on automatic qualification. Slovenia could only manage 14 points in their group, and their last five games saw them lose twice. Ukraine have got the win in three of their last five matches. They have netted eight times in these five matches, conceding just twice and now coming up against a side who have conceded seven in their last five outings. I think that, with the home advantage on their side and a big prize up for grabs 2-0 win for the Ukrainians is a good bet.

Sweden vs Denmark (19:45)

Correct Score Prediction: 1-0 Sweden

Denmark failed to score in any of their last three qualifiers for Euro 2016, so we’re certainly not expecting many goals from them when they meet up with their Scandinavian rivals Sweden on Saturday. But Sweden haven’t been great either, and it’s only the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic that provides them with any threat going forward. He could well make the difference on Saturday, and the passion of the fans in this local rival should see the Swedes take a narrow 1-0 lead into the second leg.
