Liverpool vs Real Madrid
Cody Gakpo to have two or more shots on target
Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo has started to hit some form after his mid-season switch from PSV Eindhoven and the Dutchman isn’t afraid to try his luck. Gakpo has scored in each of his last two appearances and averages 2.8 shots-per-game in the Premier League, and he can test Thibaut Courtois in the Real Madrid goal at least twice at Anfield this week.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Napoli
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to score
Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia had a hand in five goals in the group stage and the explosive winger has scored in four of his last five appearances for Napoli, including each of his last three games, so he looks a good contender for an anytime effort when the Italian league leaders head to Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday.
RB Leipzig vs Manchester City
Erling Haaland to score
Erling Haaland has hit a bit of a dry spell domestically for Manchester City with just one goal in his last five games. A Champions League trip to Leipzig looks like a good opportunity for the Norwegian to get back among the goals. Haaland has five goals in four Champions League appearances this term and scored twice for former club Borussia Dortmund in the DfB Pokal the last time he visited this venue.
Inter Milan vs Porto
Marko Grujic to be shown a card
Porto midfielder Marko Grujic is back in the side after a brief stint on the sidelines and at a big price the Serbian appeals as a contender for a card on Wednesday. Grujic has one yellow card in two Champions League outings this term and averages 1.5 fouls per-game in this competition and 1.7 in Portugal’s top tier.
