Double delight: 33/1 Acca backing 6 sides to score twice this weekend!
Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.
This has been an international break to savour here at FST off the back of our 260/1 winner on Saturday. However, we can’t deny our excitement for the return of domestic football this weekend, which has some high-scoring games in prospect.
With that in mind, I’ve scoured the weekend schedule to pick out six teams for our latest Weekender Accumulator. Below are six sides who look good to score a couple of goals, which combine for a 33/1 tip which runs right through the weekend!

Team Goals Weekender Acca
Friday – Rotherham United vs Ipswich
Championship action returns on Friday night with second-placed Ipswich visiting Rotherham. The Millers have lost 2-1 at home to Bristol City and 2-0 at Cardiff within their last three, so a meeting with the promotion-chasing Tractor Boys should be tough.
Ipswich are the top-scoring side in the league with 25 goals across their 11 matches. They’ve scored at least three times in four of their last five matches ahead of this one, so back them to trouble the struggling Millers.
Tip: Over 1.5 Ipswich goals
Friday – Tranmere Rovers vs Doncaster
Elsewhere in the EFL, Tranmere Rovers fell at Crewe last weekend, but they will hope a decent home record can help them against fellow stragglers Doncaster.
Tranmere are unbeaten in their last three at home in the league, while they’ve scored at least twice in five of their last six. With 12 strikes in that run, they’ve proven capable going forward.
The visitors have lost seven of their last eight League Two trips and they’ve conceded twice or more in visits to Newport, Barrow, Wrexham and MK Dons this term. Given how Tranmere have looked at home of late, back them to score a couple.
Tip: Over 1.5 Tranmere goals
Saturday – Torino vs Inter Milan
Inter Milan have made a strong start in Serie A this term, sitting just two points shy of city rivals AC Milan. Despite trailing them in the table, the Nerazzurri hold the bragging rights over their rivals after demolishing Milan 5-1 already this term.
Inter have scored twice or more on six occasions across their opening eight games. With a visit to Torino up next, they can extend that fine start in front of goal. The hosts have lost 2-0 to Lazio and Juventus in their last three games, so back a couple of goals for the top scoring side in Serie A.
Tip: Over 1.5 Inter goals
Saturday – Celta Vigo vs Atletico Madrid
Atletico Madrid are five points off the pace in La Liga with a game in hand, but their recent form has been fantastic. Diego Simeone’s side showed a desire to dismiss their gritty reputation with a 7-0 win at Rayo Vallecano earlier this term, while they return from the break having won five in a row.
Atleti kicked off that run with a 3-1 win over Real Madrid and they’ve scored at least twice in all four games since. Saturday night takes them to third-bottom Celta Vigo, a side who have shipped two or more in three of their last four.
Tip: Over 1.5 Atletico Madrid goals
Sunday – Girona vs Almeria
Girona are the surprise side in the Spanish title hunt, picking up 22 points from 27 available this term. They can continue their shock charge for top spot this Sunday when they play host to the bottom side in La Liga.
Almeria have yet to win any of their opening nine games, conceding at least twice in eight of those. They are unlikely to shut down a Girona side who have scored 19 times in their opening nine, including a 4-2 win at second-bottom Granada.
Tip: Over 1.5 Girona goals
Sunday – Aston Villa vs West Ham
Both Aston Villa and West Ham are well positioned for a return to Europe, with the pair inside the top seven and split but just two points. Despite that narrow gap, home form could edge this for a Villa side who have won 10 straight home league games.
The Villains have scored at least twice in 11 of their last 13 home league games and they play host to a Hammers side who have kept one clean sheet in 11 in the top-flight.
West Ham conceded 1.63 goals per league trip last term and they should be vulnerable to a Villa side who have made a high-scoring start.
Tip: Over 1.5 Aston Villa goals
