After eight games of varying quality, just eight teams remain in Euro 2024, and the frontrunners for the trophy are within a stone’s throw of one another in the outright market.
Despite four miserable appearances, England remain favourites to lift the trophy in Berlin, while Spain have shortened slightly after an impressive showing against Georgia.
France and Germany are well in the mix, while Netherlands and Portugal aren’t far behind.
Here, ahead of the beginning of the Euro 2024 quarter-finals on Friday, I take a look at where the value lies in the outright market.

Euro 2024 outright winner predictions
France to win at 9/2
France entered Euro 2024 as second-favourites behind England and, while their results have not inspired a great deal of confidence, there is every reason to believe they could spring into life in the latter stages of this tournament.
Les Bleus, alongside Germany and Spain, are in the top three for expected goals, shots taken, expected goals against and shots faced, which is made all the more impressive by the quality of their opposition.
The 2022 World Cup finalists have already faced Netherlands, Belgium, and Austria and the average FIFA world ranking of their opponents so far is 15.25, compared to 26.5 for Germany and 39.75 for Spain.
Didier Deschamps’ side should have the beating of a struggling Portugal outfit in their quarter-final on Friday, and after that, their confidence will only continue to grow.
Switzerland each-way at 14/1
The so-called easier side of the bracket has opened the door for a potential each-way bet on 14/1 shots Switzerland.
After a dominant display against Italy, the Swiss have every chance of making it past an England outfit that have struggled to make an impact so far this tournament, and should they do that I would fancy them to make a real run for the final against Netherlands or Turkey.
Murat Yakin’s side would be hefty underdogs against any team they meet in the final, but they are worth an each-way punt that pays out at 1/3 odds if they reach the final.
