European Roadtrip: 51/1 Sixfold for Sunday's action

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

While we have plenty of European coverage over on our free match predictions, below I’ve cast an eye on some interesting games that we haven’t already covered.

I’ve picked out six tips from across four countries, which make up a 51/1 accumulator. You can see my picks below, while new bet365 customers can back this sixfold and take advantage of this great introductory offer!

Mantova vs Brescia

Brescia are flying high in Serie B after a strong start, but their best work has been done at home so far. The third-placed visitors have lost consecutive away trips ahead of Sunday’s match, while Mantova have been excellent on their own patch.

The hosts have won three from three at home this season and they can extend that strong start against a Brescia outfit that won just five of 19 trips last term too.

Tip: Mantova to win

Vitoria Guimaraes vs Boavista

Vitoria Guimaraes kicked off their season in July, so it’s good that they’ve made an encouraging start. The hosts have won 11 of their 14 matches this term and their good domestic form has put them sixth in the table.

The hosts have won every home game bar a clash with Porto, so they should have little trouble against a Boavista side who are in danger of falling into the second tier. The visitors are winless in six – losing four – and they’ve failed to score in five of those matches. Back Guimaraes to add to a fine run with another victory.

Tip: Guimaraes to win

Brest vs Le Harve

An incredible 4-0 win at Salzburg in midweek has put Brest on course to qualify for the next round of the Champions League. Having been France’s surprise package last season, they’re carrying that underdog mentality into Europe and it’s paying off.

Brest are in line for more success this weekend, having won three of their last four matches. They host Le Harve, who have suffered three defeats on the spin. Having lost their last two trips, expect Le Harve to fall short against a Brest side that have strung together three wins on the spin at home.

Tip: Brest to win

Reims vs Montpellier

Reims head into this round of Ligue 1 games in fourth place, thanks to a five-game unbeaten run. The hosts have beaten Rennes, Nantes and Angers in their last four matches, although they’ve yet to manage a clean sheet across the campaign.

The hosts should maintain their surprise European chase in Sunday’s meeting with struggling Montpellier. Four defeats in five have left the visitors sitting third-bottom in Ligue 1. They’ve lost three from three on their travels, but Montpellier are a decent side going forward, they just look too open at the back. Given that, look to them to score in another defeat.

Tip: Reims to win and both teams to score

Nacional vs Benfica

Benfica are fresh from an incredible result, having beaten Atletico Madrid 4-0 in the Champions League in midweek. The Portuguese giant may be third in the Primeira Liga, but they’ve won two from two in Europe.

The Eagles have beaten Santa Clara 4-1, Boavista 3-0 and Gil Vicente 5-1 in their last three league outings. With Nacional already suffering a 3-0 loss to Braga and a 6-1 defeat to Sporting Lisbon at home, this is a great chance for Benfica to extend their five-game winning streak in style.

Tip: Benfica -1 handicap

Fortuna Sittard vs AZ

AZ lost 2-1 at home to Utrecht last weekend but they’re capable of bouncing back. The visitors have five wins from their first seven matches in the Eredivisie this term and they head to a Fortuna Sittard side who are struggling.

The hosts have lost to Breda, Ajax and PSV in their last four games and AZ should be able to add to their issues. The visitors have won the last seven meetings between the pair and they’ve won 16 of the previous 19 encounters, so they should claim maximum points.

Tip: AZ to win
