European Roadtrip: 31/1 acca for Sunday's action
Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.
While we’ve covered most of the weekend’s top games from across Europe in our free match predictions, there’s plenty more value to be found across the continent.
I’ve taken a look through Sunday’s slate to pick out a 31/1 fivefold, which features matches from the second-tier in Italy, Spain and Germany.
Back Sunday’s Euro Acca
Paderborn vs Eintracht Braunschweig
Eintracht Braunschweig sit third-bottom in the 2. Bundesliga after losing four of their first five away trips this season. The visitors have been beaten 3-1 in their previous two trips and another high-scoring defeat looms this weekend.
Paderborn have based their strong start on some good form at home, winning three of their opening four matches at their own ground. However, the hosts have failed to keep a clean sheet in six of their last seven matches. The visitors head into this contest with BTTS landing in three of their last four matches, so back them to score in another defeat.
Tip: Paderborn to win and both teams to score
Torino vs Fiorentina
Fiorentina have pushed into the top four in Serie A thanks to an impressive winning run and they’re backed to continue their good streak against Torino. La Viola have won six on the spin in all competitions, while they’ve taken maximum points from five of their last six Serie A outings.
Torino have lost five of their last six matches and they look vulnerable against a Fiorentina side who have netted 16 times across their last four matches. Il Toro have lost three of their five clashes with top-half sides this season, so back la Viola to secure a win.
Tip: Fiorentina to win
Cesena vs Sudtirol
Sudtirol have lost six of their last nine matches in Serie B and they look vulnerable in this visit to Cesena. The hosts head into the weekend holding the final playoff spot after taking 15 points from their first 11 matches, with 13 of those coming at home.
Cesena have won four of six home games this term and they host a side who have lost all six of their games against sides outside the bottom six. The visitors have already suffered defeats to nil in three trips this term and another loss looms.
Tip: Cesena to win
Almeria vs Cordoba
Cordoba have the worst away record in the Spanish second tier, taking just one point from six matches on the road this season. They’ve lost consecutive away games to nil ahead of this visit to Almeria and the hosts are worthy favourites for the win.
Almeria are just a point better off than the visitors but they’ve won three of their last four matches, including their last two home games. With Cordoba scoring just three times across their six away assignments, back an Almeria side who have scored the most goals in the division.
Tip: Almeria to win
Sassuolo vs Mantova
Sassuolo sit second in Serie B as they chase an immediate return to the highest level and they’ve won three of their last four games, scoring 15 goals. The Neroverdi have won four of their five clashes with teams in the bottom-half, while Mantova have lost each of their visits to sides above them in the standings.
Sassuolo are looking great in front of goal and with the visitors suffering four defeats to nil on their travels this season, this should be a one-sided contest.
Tip: Sassuolo to win
