Wolfsburg vs Schalke – Wolfsburg -1 handicap at 10/11

Schalke’s terrible season looks likely to get worse when the bottom side visit third-placed Wolfsburg. The visitors come here having conceded over three goals per away game, while they’ve lost all six clashes with the current top four by at least two goals.

In those six games Schalke have conceded 24 times, while failing to score in five. Wolfsburg come into this game with the second-best defensive record in the division, which should see them record a comfortable win over a Schalke side who have lost by two or more in 14 of 16 league defeats. With the hosts winning by two or more in four of their last six, they look good value with a -1 handicap.

Getafe vs Atletico Madrid – Atletico Madrid to win at 10/11

Getafe’s miserable run of form continued last week as they ended their 2-1 defeat at Valladolid with ten men, and another defeat is expected when they take on the La Liga leaders.

Atletico Madrid have suffered a few poor results of late but their form on the road remains strong. They have dropped just seven points in 12 away games and three of those came at Real Madrid. They have won six of their seven trips since that derby defeat and they should have little problem dispatching of a Getafe side that have lost five of their last six outings.

Hull City vs Oxford – Hull City to win at 10/11

Oxford’s bright start to 2021 seems to have burned out and the U’s have suddenly lost their goal-scoring touch. United have failed to score in six of their last seven League One assignments, and with their football in the final third out of sync, they should struggle at table topping Hull.

The Tigers have roared to four straight wins in the third tier and their 3-1 victory at Peterborough in midweek was the definition of a statement performance.

Port Vale vs Bolton – Bolton to win at 11/10

Bolton consolidated their League Two playoff position with Tuesday’s well-deserved 2-1 success at home to highflying Cambridge but a top three finish is their ultimate goal and they can edge closer by defeating lowly Port Vale in the Potteries.

Ian Evatt’s side have taken 26 points from their last ten games to lift themselves from 19th to within four points of the automatic promotion berths.

Nobody will look forward to playing them during the run-in and they should be too strong for fourth-bottom Vale, who are in a relegation battle after failing to win any of their last seven matches.

Leeds vs Chelsea – Chelsea to win at 7/10

Leeds have lost five of their seven Premier League matches since the start of February and the two wins were against limited opponents in bottom-half sides Crystal Palace and Southampton which doesn’t bode well for the visit of in-form Chelsea to Elland Road.

Another issue for Leeds is they are not particularly suited to breaking down well-organised teams and they don’t come much better than fourth-placed Chelsea in that department.

Chelsea have conceded two goals in 11 matches under Thomas Tuchel and among the nine shutouts are trips to Tottenham and Liverpool, home games against Manchester United and Everton and a neutral venue success over La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid.

Bristol Rovers vs Wimbledon – Bristol Rovers to win at 11/10

New manager Joey Barton is getting a decent tune out of Bristol Rovers, who lifted themselves out of the League One relegation zone with a stylish 4-1 home win over Accrington on Tuesday.

The Gas can pick up another crucial victory against second-bottom AFC Wimbledon, who have scored only three goals in six games since Mark Robinson was appointed permanent manager.

Rovers, who also hit the woodwork twice in their midweek demolition of Accrington, are creating plenty of chances under Barton and they look solid home favourites.
