Experts' Best Bets: 60/1 accumulator for Sunday!
Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.
After the drama of this week’s transfers it will be good to get back to football as we know it, with a massive slate of games lined up for Sunday.
We’ve called in three Racing Post tipsters to give us their standout bets for the weekend. Together we’ve produced a sixfold accumulator for Sunday’s action which you can back at 60/1.

Tottenham vs Watford – Tottenham to win to nil at 13/10
Nuno Espirito Santo seems to have done an excellent job of bringing his trademark defensive stability to Spurs and he should watch his team produce another shutout against a Watford side expected to struggle going forward.
Tottenham managed their third win to nil in Santo’s four games in charge in midweek and while the visiting Hornets were impressive in their return to the top flight they have only won one of their last five competitive away games, scoring just a single goal in the process. I expect a repeat of their 2-0 loss at the Amex Stadium last weekend.

Genoa vs Napoli – Napoli -1 at 11/8
Napoli have won by at least two goals in four of their last five Serie A games, including their 2-0 victory over Verona last weekend. The Partenopei went down to 10 men at 0-0 in that one but they still rallied to record a comfortable win.
Expect the visitors to continue their fine start based on how Genoa looked last weekend. They went to an Inter Milan side who lost their top scorer this summer and still lost 4-0. The Grifone have now conceded four goals in their last two league games, so back a comfortable win for Napoli.

Lens vs Lorient – Lens to win at 7/10
Lens have made a steady start to the new Ligue 1 campaign and are worth backing to get the better of Lorient this weekend. The hosts started the season by taking points off Rennes and St-Etienne but their best performance came against Monaco last time out as they prevailed 2-0.
Opponents Lorient, meanwhile, were beaten 3-1 by Montpellier in their most recent fixture and lost two defenders to sending offs on that occasion in the form of Jerome Hergault and Houboulang Mendes. They look defensively porous and could struggle again.

Wolves vs Man United – Man United to win at 8/11
Manchester United were below par in a 1-1 draw at Southampton last weekend but are off to a solid start with four points from two games and can add another three by defeating Wolves at Molineux.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team may not be quite strong enough to be considered one of the main title contenders but they usually excel on their travels and haven’t lost a Premier League away game since a 2-0 loss to Liverpool in January 2020.
United are effective on the counter-attack and can expose Wolves, who are under pressure after 1-0 defeats to Leicester and Tottenham.

Atletico Madrid vs Villarreal – Atletico Madrid to win at 3/4
Atletico Madrid haven’t quite hit their stride yet after two games but have still managed a maximum haul of six points. Visitors Villarreal have drawn both their games 0-0 against opponents they would have been expected to beat and I can’t see them leaving the capital with any points on Sunday.
Atleti have won their last seven games in a row at home, and look set to make it eight this weekend.

Reims vs PSG – PSG & Over 3.5 goals at 6/5
PSG have claimed maximum points in their opening three Ligue 1 games and can maintain their perfect start in another high-scoring win at Reims.
The Parisians’ have struck ten goals across their three matches but they have also conceded on each occasion against opponents Troyes, Strasbourg and Brest.
PSG have a formidable frontline but a depleted defence so Reims, who shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw with Montpellier in their only game of the campaign, are capable of playing their part in an entertaining encounter.
