Nice vs Lyon – Over 3.5 goals at 6/4 with bet365

Nice’s home game with Lyon on Sunday looks one of the highlights of the weekend’s Ligue 1 programme and there is a strong chance that the meeting between the teams heading into the week in third and sixth should not disappoint.

Nice have kept three successive home clean sheets, but there is a strong chance Lyon will be able to threaten as they have scored in each of their last ten league away games and are fresh from a 3-1 Europa League success at FCSB on Thursday.

OL won their last league road game 4-1 at Montpellier and have also been involved in recent 3-2 defeats to Marseille and champions PSG, while Nice have scored at least twice in each of their last eight league outings on their patch, so goals could be on the agenda.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Union Berlin – Frankfurt to win and Over 2.5 goals at 8/5 with bet365

After beating Ajax 2-1 in the Europa League on Thursday, Eintracht Frankfurt will look to return to winning ways in the Bundesliga when they host Union Berlin.

Frankfurt have lost their last two league games, conceding eight goals in the process. Thankfully, they face a Union Berlin side that have lost eight of their 12 away games.

The visitors have conceded 24 goals on the road, and Frankfurt should be too strong and rock up the goals as they look for their eighth win at home this season.

Dino Toppmoller’s side may have one eye on Europe, but he will want his team to head into Thursday’s second leg on the back of a comfortable home win.

Hoffenheim vs Heidenheim – Hoffenheim to win at 3/4 with bet365

Having picked up only six points from their last 14 Bundesliga matches, relegation is starting to look increasingly likely for rock-bottom Heidenheim and more misery may follow at Hoffenheim.

Hoffenheim have had a pretty underwhelming campaign themselves but they have picked up seven points from their last three league games and should have enough to utilise home advantage.

Six of Heidenheim’s last seven Bundesliga matches have resulted in defeat and they may prove easy prey for hosts Hoffenheim, who have toppled Leipzig and held Eintracht Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Freiburg to draws on their own patch this term.

Empoli vs Roma – Roma to win at evens with bet365

A late strike against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday earned Roma a fifth win on the bounce and their surge should continue at struggling Empoli on Sunday.

The hosts are 18th in the table with their upcoming Coppa Italia semi-final drawing a lot of their focus. Empoli have lost nine of their previous 12 league games, including losing by two or more goals in four of their last five.

Roma have won their last three league trips and they’ve already picked up seven points from visits to the bottom four. Empoli have lost seven of 13 home games this term, so back the in-form visitors to secure another win.

Nantes vs Strasbourg – Strasbourg to win at 7/4 with bet365

Strasbourg struggled for results on the road during the first half of the season but they’ve picked up on their travels recently, with all four of their Ligue 1 away wins coming in their last six trips.

Sunday’s assignment at relegation-threatened Nantes looks like another winnable assignment for Liam Rosenior’s side as they continue their push for European qualification.

Le Racing are unbeaten in their last four games (W3, D1) and have kept clean sheets in all of those fixtures. Meanwhile, Nantes have three defeats in their last four and they went down 3-1 in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

Athletic Bilbao vs Mallorca – Athletic Bilbao to win at 4/6 with bet365

Mallorca are having a decent season and are still in with a chance of qualifying for Europe, but they have struggled on the road lately and could come unstuck again when they visit an Athletic Bilbao side targeting a return to Champions League football.

The Basque outfit won their last home league game 7-1 against Real Valladolid to make it ten La Liga home games without defeat. They have won four of their last five here and may be buoyed by the potential return of top-scorer Oihan Sancet.
