Stockport vs Birmingham – Jay Stansfield to score anytime at 7/4 with bet365
Jay Stansfield is the second-highest scorer in League One despite starting just 14 of Birmingham’s 21 games and he can continue his purple patch against a Stockport side that have shipped eight goals in their last five games.
The Blues’ £15-million man started on the bench in their goalless draw against Blackpool but should return to the starting lineup here, and he has netted eight times in his last eight starts for the club.

Leeds United vs Blackburn Rovers – Under 2.5 goals @ 1/1 with bet365
Leeds United ended 2024 with a two-point advantage at the top of the Championship table but they will need to have their wits about them when they host Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road.
The Whites are unbeaten in six games in the Championship, with their last defeat coming at the hands of Blackburn.
John Eustace’s men recorded a 1-0 win at Ewood Park and another close game should be expected.
Under 2.5 goals has landed in four of Leeds’ last six, and seven of Blackburn’s previous eight matches.
Blackburn will set up to frustrate Leeds and it will be up to Daniel Farke’s men to try and break them down.
Joe Casey
Millwall vs Oxford United – Under 2.5 goals at 8/13 with bet365
Former Millwall manager Gary Rowett returns to the Den with new side Oxford in what is also the first game in charge for new Lions boss Alex Neil.
With both gaffers very recent arrivals, neither team will be fully suited to their coach’s style and this could be a disjointed affair as a result.
15 of Millwall’s last 16 games have gone under 2.5 goals and Oxford have only scored seven goals in ten away games so do not expect a thriller in south London, the unders looks a safe play.
Liam Flin
Burton vs Peterborough – Peterborough at 31/20 with bet365
Peterborough are not where they want to be in League One but they can start 2025 with a morale-boosting win away to strugglers Burton.
Posh have lost three league fixtures on the trot, although their opponents in those matches – Barnsley, Mansfield and Stockport – are all in the top half.
This is a more winnable fixture given that Burton have sustained 13 defeats in 22 league games this season and Peterborough have the attacking firepower to get over the line.
The visitors have scored 39 goals in the third tier this season – that is more than the likes of highflyers Birmingham, Wrexham, Huddersfield and Stockport.
Aidan Perkins
Notts County vs Walsall – Walsall at 6/4 with bet365
League Two leaders Walsall, who have opened up an 11-point gap at the top, are on a six-game winning run and haven’t conceded a goal in their last five outings.
County are third and one of five teams beneath Walsall on 37 points. They are also in good form, winning their last three, but that run is likely to end against Mat Sadler’s impressive outfit.
The Saddlers’ sensational spell began with a 3-2 win over County in early December and they can extend their fine form and edge ever closer to the title by winning at Meadow Lane.
Ian Wilkerson
QPR vs Watford – QPR at 8/5 with bet365
It took until December for QPR to register their first Championship win of the season at Loftus Road, but Marti Cifuentes’s team have got their act together on their own patch and look a good bet to get the better of Watford.
Rangers have posted three straight home wins over Norwich, Oxford and Preston and while victories have been difficult to come by in west London, they have at least scored in all but one of their last 14 times they have hosted.
The Hornets suffered their first home loss in 16 when they fell to Cardiff on Sunday, but their record on their travels has been nowhere near as impressive.
A 6-2 win at Sheffield Wednesday has been the only occasion that they have won on the road in their last ten games, and draws at struggling Plymouth and Hull were the only other occasions in that run when they didn’t lose.
QPR earned a goalless draw in the reverse fixture in November, but should come out on top this time.
