England and Slovakia meet in the last 16 of Euro 2024 today and the winner now knows Switzerland are waiting in the quarter-finals after they ended Italy’s title defence on Saturday.

We’ve called on our team of experts for their best bets ahead ahead of the massive game for Gareth Southgate’s men and together these tips form a 73/1 fivefold Bet Builder Tip.

73/1 England vs Slovakia Experts’ Bet Builder Tip

Alex Wrigley – Harry Kane to score anytime 11/10

Harry Kane stands out in the anytime goalscorer department, despite his rather subdued showings so far. He is the only England player to have generated more than 0.2 expected goals this tournament and has scored nine goals in his last 11 competitive outings for the Three Lions.

Mark Langdon – Both Teams To Score 6/4

England have kept two clean sheets in three games at the Euros but that has had more to do with a lack of ambition from Serbia and Slovenia rather than anything special from the Three Lions.

Denmark scored and England were wobbling at various periods against the Scandinavians, while Slovakia have shown they can hurt opponents by scoring against Ukraine, Romania and Belgium in the group stage.

Slovakia coach Francesco Calzona is someone who likes his team to play in an expressive manner with 24 goals scored in their last 12 games.

*Mark tipped over 0.5 Slovakia goals but with Kane backed to score for England this becomes both teams to score on a bet builder.

Gareth Freeman – Marc Guehi to be fouled 2+ times at 2/1

Slovakia are a big, physical team and they perhaps represent a different kind of challenge for England on Sunday. They have forwards who like to put pressure on defenders and taking that into account the 21/10 on offer for England’s Marc Guehi to be fouled twice looks a big price.

Guehi has been fouled three times across the last two games, including twice against Denmark, and he’ll probably come up against someone like David Strelec or Robert Bozeník on Sunday – who are averaging 1.0 and 1.3 fouls per-game respectively.

Aaron Rogan – Slovakia Goalkeeper to make 3+ saves at 8/11 with betfair

England have had 10 shots on target at this tournament, but they’ve scored just two times. While they create chances, they’ve struggled to beat the goalkeeper so far. Expect that to be the case once again, as they encounter a Slovakia side who needed 11 stops from Martin Dubravka in the group stage.

The Newcastle ‘keeper may be 35 but he’s proven himself up to the challenge at this tournament. The Three Lions are averaging 0.06 Expected Goals per shot, suggesting they’re making poor chances and taking speculative shots, so back Dubravka to make a few saves.

Ian Wilkerson – Declan Rice to commit two or more fouls at 15/8

There are plenty of players who are not guaranteed to start for England against Slovakia after a series of substitutions enabled the Three Lions to finish stronger than they started against Slovenia, but Declan Rice is sure to play and can be the focus of an interesting prop bet.

There is a strong chance that England fans could be subjected to another frustrating experience and there will be a lot of responsibility falling on the shoulders of the Arsenal man in the heart of midfield.

He may have Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo to help with the workload, but there is scope for Rice conceding free-kicks if he is exposed.

The former West Ham star committed a foul in each of England’s three group games, conceding two in Tuesday’s goalless draw with Slovenia, and the chances of him doing that again in Gelsenkirchen appear generously priced.
