Who to Bench
Manuel Lanzini
The West Ham attacker is the latest in a long line of influential attacking casualties for the out of form West Ham. He will be out for a week or so, so stick him on the bench.
Chris Smalling
He’s been one of the best centre backs in the league this season, sitting at the top of the points scoring charts for defenders. But he picked up an injury in midweek and won’t make Manchester United’s trip to Bournemouth.
Who to Buy
Raheem Sterling – Price: 8.9 Million
Raheem Sterling netted two in midweek to give Manchester City a win over Borussia Monchengladbach, and they now face a drastically out of form and managerless Swansea at home. He could have a field day against the struggling side.
Romelu Lukaku – Price: 9.1 Million
He may be expensive but he’s proving his worth at the moment. He has netted 11 times in the Premier League this season and is only behind on points to Jamie Vardy up front. He has scored in each of his last three games and is coming up against a Norwich side who struggle at the back. Ross Barkley is another option, he has netted six times from midfield and has got a number of assists.
Harry Kane – Price: 9.7 Million
Tottenham Hotspur go up against Newcastle on Sunday. Do I need to say much more? He has picked up 69 points so far this season despite a very slow start, and against a Newcastle back line who have conceded five goals on three occasions this season he could massively add to his tally on Sunday.
Mesut Ozil – Price: 9.6 Million
Mesut Ozil comes up against Aston Villa this weekend, and with all of Arsenal’s injury problems Ozil is the main attacking force in the Gunners squad. He’s also picked 96 points this season, only behind to the incredible Riyad Mahrez.
Arsenal Defenders
Arsenal come up against the lowest scorers in the Premier League in Aston Villa, so clean sheets are very likely.
Manchester City Defenders
Manchester City host a Swansea side who have barely registered an attacking threat over the past few months and find themselves with the second lowest scoring record in the league.
