Who to Bench

Diego Costa

Chelsea’s star striker may have been just getting back to form for the champions, but his fracas in the FA Cup at the weekend has led to him being handed a two match suspension, and he won’t be available until the 9th April now.

Vincent Kompany

Manchester City’s leader at the back was forced off against Dynamo Kiev and looks set for a spell on the sidelines. I’d probably think about getting rid of the rest of the City defence too, as without Kompany organising them they look like a Sunday League team at the back. Nicolas Otamendi was injured too, meaning Martin Demichelis and Elaquim Mangala are the only two available centre backs.

Who to Buy

Jermain Defoe – Price: 5.1 Million

Sunderland visit Newcastle on Sunday in a crucial Tyne-Wear derby, and if anyone is going to get a win for Sunderland it’s Jermain Defoe. The marksman has an excellent record against Newcastle and has managed to pick up 13 points in his last two games. If you need a bargain basement striker, look no further than Defoe this weekend!

Bertrand Traore – Price: 5.4 Million

Guus Hiddink needs someone to replace the suspended Costa up front, and the last time he was out this role was handed to Bertrand Traore. The youngster is a bargain at 5.4 Million and he’s listed as a midfielder too. He has already managed to bag a few goals this season and we’re expecting a high scoring match when they face off against West Ham. They also play Aston Villa next time round, so there’s goals to be had there.

Harry Kane – Price: 10.3 Million

Bournemouth may be in good form at the moment but I think the Tottenham Hotspur attack will be too much for them. Leading that attack will be none other than Harry Kane, who scored a brace last weekend against Aston Villa and has bagged 160 points so far this season.

Swansea Defenders and Gylfi Sigurdsson

Swansea host the goalshy Aston Villa on Saturday and are looking in good form at the moment, with Gylfi Sigurdsson at the heart of everything good happening in South Wales. It’s a no brainer really.
