Who to Bench
Romelu Lukaku
Everton had a torrid time last time out against Arsenal, and their attack probably won’t find it much easier at Old Trafford. Manchester United are the Premier League’s best defensive side and have only conceded seven league goals at home all season. It may be best to give Lukaku a rest for the week.
Dusan Tadic
Southampton’s main midfield man could find it tough against a determined and organised Leicester outfit who have kept three clean sheets on the bounce on Sunday. Keep him on the bench though, he has a game against Newcastle at St. Mary’s coming up next weekend.
Who to Buy
Wes Hoolahan – Price: 4.7 Million
The Norwich midfielder is one of his teams’ best assets going forward, and has an impressive 101 points to his name this season. He is facing a Newcastle side who are playing their 3rd choice goalkeeper this weekend, so he could well bag a goal or assist and is an absolute bargain at 4.7 million. He’s got games against Crystal Palace and Sunderland coming up too, so there should be more points on the way.
Daniel Sturridge, Phillipe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino
Liverpool have nine remaining games to play in the next seven gameweeks, so double fixtures are abound for them in the coming weeks. Roberto Firmino is still recovering from a hamstring injury but could feature against Spurs on Saturday, while Phillipe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge are both looking sharp at the moment.
Leicester Defenders
Claudio Ranieri has shifted his tactics as we approach the Premier League title run in, and now seems very content with snatching 1-0 victories rather than going out to win 4-3. They have kept three clean sheets on the bounce now and I think another 1-0 could be on the cards against Southampton, who are expected to be without Shane Long and Charlie Austin.
Cesc Fabregas – Price: 8.4 Million
Chelsea’s midfield playmaker had a stormer of a game against West Ham before the international break, single handedly earning Chelsea a point while the rest of his teammates tagged along on his performance. They visit Aston Villa this weekend, and his passing ability could tear them apart.
