Who to Bench
Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne
With Manchester City fresh from their travels to Paris and facing a visit from the Ligue 1 champions on Tuesday we’re expecting a weakened squad to be put out against West Brom on Saturday. This probably won’t include Kevin De Bruyne, who is only recently back from injury, or star man Sergio Aguero. Either way, we’re not expecting them to have too much look against a resilient West Brom. Don’t sell them though, they have a double gameweek coming up soon!
Jermain Defoe
Quite a few Fantasy Premier League players have Sunderland’s main striker in their squads thanks to the Black Cats’ decent scoring record and his bargain price, but they have a game against Leicester this weekend. The visiting league leaders have kept five clean sheets in their last six games, so Defoe could be out of luck on Saturday.
Who to Buy
Leicester Defenders
The back line of Leicester have been as impressive as Vardy and Mahrez in the second half of the season, and they are visiting Sunderland having picked up five clean sheets in their last six games. I think another clean sheet could be on the cards on Saturday as well.
Graziano Pelle – Price: 7.8 Million
The in form Southampton frontman has picked up 30 points in his last three appearances, and he will be leading the line at St Mary’s against a Newcastle side with one of the worst defensive records in the Premier League.
Max Gradel – Price: 5.7 Million
The Bournemouth winger has been sidelined with injury for much of the season, but since returning he has started to show his worth. He notched a goal and assist against Swansea and now faces the mouth watering prospect of going up against the worst defence in the league: Aston Villa.
Everton Attackers
It’s time to reintroduce the likes of Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku. They may have faltered against Manchester United last week but they have a double gameweek this week, with both Watford and Crystal Palace in the firing line. There could be goals aplenty for Everton in these two fixtures.
