Who to Bench
Daniel Sturridge
Liverpool are visiting West Brom relying on other teams slipping up if they are to make it to a Europa League qualification position. However, they have their Europa League final just three days after their final Premier League game, and the winner of that gets a pass into the Champions League group stages. We all know where Jurgen Klopp’s priorities will lie, so I’m expecting the frail Sturridge to be rested on Sunday.
Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen
Tottenham Hotspur’s have gone off the boil in recent weeks, firstly due to the pressure of the Premier League title race and, most recently, due to their disheartened nature after losing their best chance of a title in decades. Spurs visit Newcastle, and we’re not expecting either team to show much desire to win, so it’s unlikely to be filled with goals.
Gylfii Sigurdsson
Swansea’s attacking midfield maestro missed out last week through injury and is set to miss out again on Sunday. With Swansea having nothing left to play for, it’s likely that his national team manager will want him rested for Iceland’s trip to France in June.
Who to Buy
Manchester United Defenders
Manchester United have possessed a formidable back line at Old Trafford all season, and I can’t see their final Premier League match of the campaign being any different. They need a win to stand any chance of getting into the top four, and a home match against Bournemouth is crying out for another win to nil for the hosts.
Dusan Tadic (6.6 Mil), Sadio Mane (7.4 Mil)
Southampton are hosting Crystal Palace in their final league match of the season looking to continue their sensation scoring form and qualify for the Europa League. Tadic and Mane have scored a huge 78 points between them in their last four appearances each as Southampton have scored 11 goals in their last four matches. Crystal Palace’s defence isn’t the greatest, and the visitors will just be looking forward to their FA Cup Final.
Alexis Sanchez – Price: 11.1 Million
Arsenal’s flair-filled Chilean forward will be one of Arsenal’s main attacking outlets on Sunday as the Gunners host Aston Villa. It could be a hammering for the visiting Villa side, and if it is we can expect Sanchez to be involved.
Dimitri Payet – Price: 8.6 Million
Payet terrorised the Manchester United defence in midweek and, despite his lack of finishing ability on the night, served up two assists and about a dozen goalscoring opportunities that his teammates couldn’t finish. West Ham travel to the defensive shocking Stoke on Sunday, and the Hammers will be gunning for a win in the hope of claiming 5th position in the table.
