Huge 482/1 golf double for this week's big events
After Brian Harman’s stunning six-shot victory at the Open, attention turns to the US and the 3M Open, the penultimate event of the regular PGA Tour season, which takes place at TPC Twin Cities, Minnesota.
The DP World Tour is on a three-week hiatus but there is women’s Major action to get stuck into with the Evian Championship, staged as it has been throughout its history at France’s Evian Resort Course.
Racing & Football Outlook golf tipster Joe Champion has analysed both tournaments and has found an each-way double which pays 482/1, and as always he recommends backing his tip as an each-way bet.

3M Open winner prediction – Emiliano Grillo at 22/1
The 3M Open takes place for the fifth season in a row at TPC Twin Cities, where Tony Finau attempts to retain the title he won in impressive fashion last season before going on to claim the Rocket Mortgage Classic the following week.
As well as Finau, two other long hitters, Cameron Champ and Matt Wolff, have triumphed at Twin Cities, a relatively easy 7,431-yard par-71 course which favours aggressive golfers who are carrying a hot putter.
Finau is respected but he’s out of form and can be ignored as tournament favourite, while Cameron Young failed to lay a glove on Harman as he struggled in the final group at the Open.
The best bet could instead be Emiliano Grillo, the Argentinian who tied the lead through 18 holes of the Open last week, fell back on Friday, then recovered to finish in a share of sixth place.
Unlike Young, Grillo was playing some of his best golf come Sunday afternoon and is full of confidence having snapped an eight-year winless PGA Tour run at the Charles Schwab Challenge at the end of May.
The 30-year-old has long been one of the most consistent ball-strikers in the game but has now found something with the putter – for so long his achilles heel.
Grillo’s form dipped after his Charles Schwab win but he was right back to his best at the Open and this week he returns to a venue where he finished third in 2020 and runner-up in 2022.
Evian Championship winner prediction – Minjee Lee at 20/1
The fourth women’s Major of 2023 starts in France on Thursday as the stars of the LPGA Tour contest the Evian Championship.
This course has been the subject of criticism in the past, as has the event’s Major status, but it’s a Major nonetheless and it’s one which could go the way of Minjee Lee, who showed a liking for this idiosyncratic track when claiming the 2021 Evian title in thrilling fashion.
Lee, who came from seven shots back to defeat Jeong-eun Lee6 in a playoff, won the US Women’s Open in the following season and she returns to France in great touch, boasting form figures of 2-13-13-20-13-7 from her last six LPGA events.
