Huge 713/1 each-way golf double tip for two events this week

Top-class golf comes from Scotland this week as Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and a host of other stars do battle at the three courses which make up the Alfred Dunhill Links.

Following the USA’s emphatic 18.5-11.5 Presidents Cup victory, regular PGA Tour action also resumes in Mississippi with the Sanderson Farms Championship.

Racing & Football Outlook golf tipster Joe Champion has taken a look at both events to put together an each-way double which pays out at 713/1. All prices quoted come from bet365 and new customers can take advantage of their sign-up offer using the button below.

Alfred Dunhill Links Championship prediction – Brooks Koepka at 20/1

The Dunhill Links always attracts a strong field and this edition of the DP World Tour’s only pro-am is perhaps better than ever with Europe’s two best golfers in attendance in Rahm and McIlroy.

Staged at two Open venues in St Andrews’ Old Course and Carnoustie plus the modern links of Kingsbarns, the Dunhill Links field will rotate across the three venues over the opening three days before the final round will take place at the Old Course.

The top two in the betting have both hit the crossbar recently – McIlroy was a runner-up in the Irish Open and the BMW PGA Championship while Rahm was downed in a playoff by fellow Spaniard Angel Hidalgo in his national Open on Sunday.

While their claims are obvious, another top-class rival appeals at more generous odds in the form of Brooks Koepka, who was ninth in the 2014 Dunhill, runner-up in 2015 and eighth in 2018.

Koepka, who returns to the tournament after six years, has described the Old Course as his favourite venue in the world and he’ll tee it up this week having finished first and sixth in the last two LIV regular-season events.

He might not quite share the links pedigree of his chief rivals but he has finished in the top ten of the Open Championship on four occasions and looks a huge danger to the favourites.

Sanderson Farms Championship winner prediction – Patrick Fishburn at 33/1

High-class players including Sergio Garcia and Sam Burns have won the Sanderson Farms Championship in recent seasons but the PGA Tour’s restructured Fall Series has made for a lower-quality field this time around.

A tree-lined Mississippi venue, Country Club of Jackson lends itself to low scoring and that is likely to be the case again this week. All types of players have won this tournament but accurate approaches and a hot putter tend to equal success.

The best bet could be Patrick Fishburn, who brings consistent recent form to the table having chalked up results of 15-3-6-MC-3 from his last five starts.

One of the longest drivers on Tour, Fishburn’s recent improvement in approach play and with putter in hand have seen him become a regular PGA Tour contender. He shouldn’t fear anyone on his course debut.
