England vs Iran Ultimate Bet Builder

England to win

England may be down in the dumps after a dismal UEFA Nations League run this year but they should be able to pull themselves together against an Iran side that have won just two World Cup games in their history.

Nine of their 16 fixtures in the World Cup have ended in defeat and England can look back on a semi-final run in 2018 and a Euro 2020 final appearance last summer.

Both teams to score – No

England conceded just two goals in their run to the Euro 2020 final and won to nil four times. They won seven of their World Cup qualifiers without conceding and face an Iran side that could be without main scoring threat Sardar Azmoun through injury.

The underdogs have managed just three goals in their last two World Cup campaigns and could struggle to break down an England defence that is generally very solid.

Harry Kane to score anytime

Harry Kane finished as top goalscorer in Russia four years ago and scored another four goals at Euro 2020. The England captain has been in excellent form on club level, too, netting 12 Premier League goals already this season.

Sadegh Moharrami to be shown a card

Sadegh Moharrami was booked four times for Iran in their World Cup qualifying campaign and has been carded in five of his ten Champions League appearances for Dinamo Zagreb this season.

Iran’s right-back will likely come up against Raheem Sterling on Monday, with the England winger being fouled 14 times in seven World Cup qualifiers for England.

Alireza  Jahanbakhsh to be shown a card

Former Brighton winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh picked up four cards in World Cup qualifying and averaged a card every 243 minutes.

He has been booked twice in his last seven appearances for his club and will have to deal with Luke Shaw and Raheem Sterling on the left of England’s attack.
