England Premier League – Manchester City
There is nothing to suggest that Manchester City will allow their competitors to catch up this season and a fourth-successive title is on the cards.
Pep Guardiola has added one of the world’s best young defenders to the squad in Josko Gvardiol and has replaced the departed Ilkay Gundogan with Mateo Kovacic, while the departure of Riyad Mahrez is unlikely to hurt too much given the Cityzens’ incredible strength in depth.

Spain La Liga – Barcelona – Barcelona
Barcelona ended up ten points clear of Real Madrid last season and their opponents have a gaping hole up front after Karim Benzema left for Saudi Arabia.
Barcelona may not be the force they once were in the transfer market but additions of Ilkay Gundogan and Inigo Martinez will soften the blow of losing Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets and, with Real Madrid losing a major piece of their attacking setup, another Blaugrana success seems likely.

France Ligue 1 – Marseille (w/out PSG)
PSG can win the league even with their substantial off-field problems but Marseille are well placed to be the best of the rest in France.
Lens, last season’s runners-up, have lost key players in Lois Openda and Seko Fofana and both Lille and Monaco were well off the pace last term.
Marseille were 11 points adrift of Lens when the curtain came down but losing four of their final five games made that gap look worse than it was. They have a new manager and some exciting signings, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ismaila Sarr, Ruslan Malinovskyi and Iliman Ndiate.

Italy Serie A – AC Milan
Four different teams have won Serie A in the last four seasons and AC Milan could climb back to the top this time around.
Defending champions Napoli have lost manager Luciano Spalletti and defensive stalwart Min-jae Kim and should be avoided, while Scudetto favourites Inter Milan have lost a large chunk of their Champions League final reaching squad.
Lazio and Juventus have also had a difficult summer, while AC Milan finished strongly last term and have brought in some interesting players. They could fare the best in a wide-open title race.

Germany Bundesliga – RB Leipzig (w/out Bayern Munich)
Bayern Munich are taking no risks after the scare they had last season and have added substantial reinforcements. They should walk to their 12th-successive title.
RB Leipzig could pip Borussia Dortmund to the silver medal, though, with their rivals weakened by the departure of Jude Bellingham.
Leipzig have also lost key players but have made a string of solid signings to replace them and the arrival of the exciting Benjamin Sesko should see them improve on last term.
