Massive 441/1 each-way golf double for this week's tournaments!

Massive 441/1 each-way golf double for this week's tournaments!

It is do-or-die time on the PGA Tour this week as the final event of the regular season, the Wyndham Championship, takes place at Sedgefield Country Club before the FedEx Cup playoffs begin with next week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship.

There is also a LIV Tour tournament taking place at the Greenbrier and Racing & Football Outlook golf tipster Joe Champion has looked at both tournaments and put together a 442-1 each-way double.

Wyndham Championship prediction – Sam Burns at 25/1

Sam Burns heads to the Wyndham assured of his place in the FedEx Cup playoffs and the WGC-Match Play champion can justify his status as the highest-ranked player in the field by claiming a sixth PGA Tour title on Sunday.

Burns is not a Sedgefield Country Club regular but one previous appearance at the Donald Ross-designed layout resulted in a 13th-place finish in the 2020 Wyndham and he is capable of improving further on that effort.

Louisiana native Burns was raised on the Bermudagrass greens he will encounter this week and a lot of his strongest form has come in the southern states, including two victories on Bermuda at the Valspar Championship.

Recent form is far from eyecatching but it’s not long since Burns finished sixth in the Charles Schwab Challenge and it’s probably worth putting a line through a missed cut at the Open given his lack of links knowledge.

Back on much more familiar terrain, the five-time PGA Tour winner could prove the one to beat this week.

LIV Golf Greenbrier prediction – Talor Gooch at 16/1

The best bet at the Greenbrier could be Talor Gooch, who has already won three times on the LIV Tour this season and looks capable of making it four in West Virginia.

The Greenbrier, which was used as a PGA Tour venue from 2010 to 2019, is a relatively straightforward track but narrow fairways put an emphasis on accurate driving and that’s very much Gooch’s modus operandi.

The Oklahoman, a champion in Adelaide, Singapore and Andalucia, finished a respectable 21st at the Greenbrier in the Military Tribute event on debut in 2018 and he’s undoubtedly a better player now.
