Midweek Madness: Best OddsBoosts for Wednesday’s Premier League action with 495/1 acca

Born in the south east of Ireland, Simon put his life-long love of football to good use when he started a successful independent blog in 2010. That opened up an alternative route to a career in journalism, and having had work published across a number of sites and publications, Simon joined the staff at Spotlight Sports Group in 2018.

The always explosive Premier League is firing another full set of midweek games out of the fixture cannon this week, giving fans of England’s top tier plenty to look forward to between weekends.

The flurry of matches between Tuesday and Thursday opens all kinds of exciting football accumulator opportunities, while other equally interesting options in the markets will also surface before kick-off.

We’re talking specifically about the range of OddsBoosts available over on Betfair, and here we’ll be taking a closer look at our favourite selections for the Premier League’s games on Wednesday evening.

Just a few days ago, we came within a whisker of landing our 16/1 Sunday OddsBoost double. We picked Liverpool to win either 2-1 or 3-1 against West Ham last week and though the resurgent Merseysiders played their part to perfection, Lionel Messi let us down.

We backed the Barcelona star to test Unai Simon in the Athletic Bilbao goal at least three times, however, the veteran Argentine only notched two shots on target…….never rated him anyway.

You can check out this week’s Midweek Madness selection below – but that’s not all – new Betfair customers can also get up to £100 in free bets if they sign up using the banner below!

Fulham vs Leicester City

James Maddison to score from outside the box – 13/2 –> 8/1

Leicester City schemer James Maddison has spoken candidly about the extra work he has put in on the training ground to boost his goal-scoring numbers – and it certainly looks as though his extra efforts are paying off.

With six goals in his last 11 appearances in league and cup, Maddison has become a real sharp-shooter for the Foxes and several of the 24-year-olds’s strikes were launched with accuracy from distance.

Maddison’s long-range shooting and his deadliness from set-pieces always make him worth backing to score, and Betfair have boosted him to a generous looking 8/1 to make his mark from outside the box against Fulham.

Burnley vs Manchester City

Manchester City to win 4-0 or 5-0 – 7/1  –> 9/1

Generally speaking, Burnley rarely find themselves on the end of hammerings, but for a myriad of reasons, the Clarets tend to fall to pieces when playing Manchester City.

The Citizens have regularly butchered Burnley since 2018, and this season alone, City have run up an 8-0 aggregate score from their two encounters with Sean Dyche’s side (5-0 in the Premier League, 3-0 in the Carabao Cup).

Incredibly, City have rattled the net five times without reply in four of their last seven clashes with Burnley overall, and the title favourites smashed home four goals in one of the remaining one-sided bouts with their limp opponents from Lancashire.

In the lead up to their latest tussle with Burnley, City have kept a phenomenal seven clean sheets in eight Premier League tests, and their strong defensive platform should allow their more attack minded players to thrive at the Clarets’ expense again.

Liverpool vs Brighton

Mohamed Salah to score 2 or more goals – 7/2 –> 9/2

Prolific Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah looked back to his mesmerising best in Liverpool’s 3-1 win at West Ham on Sunday, where the 28-year-old notched two sumptuous efforts to help the Reds to a timely victory.

That was the second time in three appearances where Salah bagged two goals, and the Golden Boot candidate could fill his boots again when Brighton visit Anfield on Wednesday.

Salah rifled home two goals against the Seagulls when Liverpool beat Albion at the AMEX Stadium last term, and the ex-Chelsea star has scored five times against Brighton overall since the club’s promotion to the big time back in 2017.
