Premier League Betting Tips: Player Specials For The Weekend’s Televised Action With 23/1 Acca!

Born in the south east of Ireland, Simon put his life-long love of football to good use when he started a successful independent blog in 2010. That opened up an alternative route to a career in journalism, and having had work published across a number of sites and publications, Simon joined the staff at Spotlight Sports Group in 2018.

With continental distractions shelved for another spell, attentions turn once again to the Premier League and the already intense clamour for points.

As always, supporters will have a range of live televised action to consume this weekend, with four Premier League contests among the football listings for Saturday and Sunday.

As always, bet365 have a range of potentially lucrative individual player specials and markets available for this week’s televised games, and as usual FST have been poring over the statistics to find you the best selections from each.

Check out selection of player special betting tips for the weekend’s televised Premier League fixtures below:

Son Heung-Min over 2.5 shots – 1/1 (Leicester City vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR)

Fresh from bagging his first two Premier League goals of the season last weekend against Crystal Palace, Son Heung-Min’ match-winning tools look razor sharp at present.

The versatile South Korean attacker is routinely one of Spurs’ most threatening players, and Son tops the charts at Tottenham for average attempts on goal per league game (4.3) this season.

Son has never been shy about shooting however. Last season, only Harry Kane racked up more attempts on average than the 27-year old at Tottenham, and we think Son can fire his way past our tipped shots target against a Leicester City side without a clean sheet in five games.

Our Premier League analysts believe Son’s efforts could well be in vain however – they are backing Leicester City in the double chance market in their match preview for Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.

Brighton predictions, betting tips and match preview

Lewis Dunk over 45.5 passes – 4/6 (Newcastle vs BRIGHTON)

Graham Potter’s impact on Brighton’s style of play has been both refreshing and dramatic this season.

The Seagulls’ average possession and average short passes played per game stats have shot up from 44.1% to 52.4% and from 306 to 414 respectively, highlighting the complete overhaul their playing style has undergone under their new coach.

Centre-back Lewis Dunk has revelled in Potter’s new system, hitting 62.6 passes on average per Premier League game this season compared to the much more meagre 41.4 he was averaging last term.

Interestingly, Dunk’s passes per game average shoots up to 79.5 when you isolate Brighton’s away games in 2019/20, and we think he is priced brilliantly to distribute his way past a modest target of 45.5 passes against Newcastle.

In their match preview of the game, our experts detail why they think Brighton can get a positive result at St. James Park. Make sure to check out their Newcastle vs Brighton predictions now!

Felipe Anderson over 0.5 shots on target – 1/1 (WEST HAM vs Man Utd)

We think this might be the most generous offer we’ve seen in bet365’s individual player markets for quite some time.

They have priced West Ham’s Brazilian winger at evens to register over 0.5 shots on target against Manchester United on Sunday. For the bet to win, Anderson needs to test David de Gea’s goal just once at the London Stadium.

The enigmatic former Lazio forward tends to come alive when facing Man Utd, and Anderson scored in each of West Ham’s two meetings with Solskjaer’s side last season.

The 26-year old is still searching for his first Irons goal of the new campaign, though his two attempts on goal per game average highlights how hard he has been trying to register.

Remember – Anderson doesn’t need to score against United for this bet to land. If he gets just one shot on target on Sunday, bet365 will pay out.

Can Anderson help West Ham to win against Man Utd this weekend? Read our match preview of the game to find out.

Jorginho in action for Chelsea

Jorginho over 2.5 tackles – 4/6 (CHELSEA vs Liverpool)

Jorginho is certain to be one of the main protagonists in what promises to be an intense midfield battle at Stamford Bridge in Chelsea’s clash with Liverpool on Sunday.

In the absence of the injured N’Golo Kante, Jorginho has been the Blues main enforcer in central areas this season, and the 27-year old has averaged more tackles per game (3) than any of his midfield counterparts at the club.

A little over a month ago, Chelsea and Liverpool made a bone-crunching 52 tackles between them in their European Super Cup skirmish, and their latest encounter on Sunday is likely to be just as challenge heavy.

With that considered, Jorginho looks well priced to make over 2.5 tackles against the rampaging Reds.

Our Premier League tipsters think that Chelsea will eventually be washed away by Liverpool’s relentless attacking waves however. Read their match preview for more Chelsea vs Liverpool betting tips.

Sadio Mane to score anytime – 6/5 (Liverpool vs CHELSEA)

Liverpool’s Sadio Mane is quickly becoming the Reds’ most important match-winner, and last season’s joint Golden Boot winning forward has already notched six goals in just seven appearances in 2019/20.

Two of the flying winger’s efforts were hit in Liverpool’s 2-2 European Super Cup tie with Chelsea back in August, bringing the 27-year old’s recent tally against the Blues to three goals in his last two appearances against them.

We think Mane’s red-hot scoring streak and his impressive recent record against Chelsea combine to make him candidate well worth considering in the anytime goalscorer market for Sunday.
