Saturday's Best Nations League OddsBoosts with 659/1 acca!
Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.
Saturday is another busy day of Nations League action, with both England and the Republic of Ireland opening their campaigns. However, the pick of the day is Italy vs Germany on Saturday night, as England’s two group rivals go head to head.
To make the most of the action in this long weekend I’ve ran through all Saturday’s available OddsBoosts on the Nations League games, picking out four tips backing four players to shine away from home. Together these four picks combine for a 659/1 acca covering the action, which you can back below.
Saturday’s OddsBoost Acca
Armenia vs Republic of Ireland
Chiedozie Ogbene 2+ shots on target – 7/2 > 9/2
It’s a good time for the Republic of Ireland right now, as they come into this game with an impressive unbeaten run behind them. They kicked off 2022 with a 2-2 draw against Belgium, with Ogbene the standout star in that clash.
The Rotherham man scored and assisted in that draw, while he finished 2021’s international campaign with a goal against Luxembourg. The forward had two shots on target in that one, so 9/2 is a good bet for him to repeat that against an out-of-form Armenia side.
Hungary vs England
Harry Kane to score 2 or more – 11/2 > 7/1
Kane has made no secret of his desire to overtake Wayne Rooney as England’s top scorer. He’s shown that ambition on the pitch of late, scoring eight times across his last four internationals.
Kane finished the season in good form for Spurs, while he meets a Hungary side who have lost three of their last four at home. The England captain can push even closer to Rooney with a brace or more here, so take advantage of some big value on him to net at least two goals.
Lithuania v Luxembourg
Gerson Rodrigues to score – 3/1 > 4/1
Rodrigues is in a tricky position club-wise, as his loan from Dynamo Kyiv finishes at the end of this month. He scored six goals in 11 league games on loan in Turkey to finish the campaign, while his international record is impressive.
Rodrigues scored five goals in seven appearances for Luxembourg in World Cup qualifying, opening the scoring on three occasions. He also scored home and away against Lithuania in Euro 2020 qualifying, so back him to strike here.
Italy vs Germany
Leroy Sane to score or assist – 13/8 > 2/1
Sane had a stellar season for Bayern, racking up six goals and assists in nine Champions League games, while he had a hand in 14 Bundesliga goals.
Sane also factored into six goals in World Cup qualifying, so back him to cause problems for Italy. The European champions were terrible against Argentina in midweek, so back Sane to expose them defensively.
