The Long Haul: 18/1 Home Heroes acca for this week's international action

Content Editor at Free Super Tips, Alex was born in the shadow of Old Trafford and is an avid Man Utd fan. After graduating from university he combined his love of football, writing and betting to join FST and now closely follows goings-on in all of the top European leagues.
With limited top-tier action between now and the raft of UEFA Nations League fixtures on Thursday, our regular Long Haul feature takes a shorter look this week as we focus on six home sides I expect to win in the first round of international games.
A trio of Nations League tips kick things off on Thursday before three World Cup qualifying games on Friday and Saturday, culminating in an 18/1 acca across the three days.

Thursday 20th March – Greece, Austria and Kosovo to win
Greece put in an excellent shift to match England’s points tally in League B Group 2 and they should be backed to get a first-leg win over Scotland, who have only won two of their last eight away matches.
The hosts have beaten Republic of Ireland twice and England at Wembley over the past 12 months and have only lost two of their last 14 at home, including an impressive draw against France in November 2023.
Austria have scored 12 goals in their last four games and, while Serbia represent a tougher test, the visitors have only won twice in their last nine away matches, including a 2-1 defeat in Vienna before last summer’s European Championship.
With Saturday’s offering less-than-ideal from a betting perspective, I’m opting for a trio of home heroes on Thursday and Kosovo look a good odds-against price to beat an Iceland side that have lost three of their last four away games. Kosovo have won four of their last five outings and scored ten goals in the process, so back them to take a first-leg lead in their quest for Nations League promotion.
Friday 21st March – Romania and England to win
England and Albania met twice in qualifying for the 2022 World Cup and the 7-0 aggregate score goes some way to explaining England’s short price ahead of Friday’s tie.
The Three Lions have won five of their six games since falling to defeat in last summer’s Euro 2024 final and should have no trouble breezing past an Albania side that have lost to Ukraine, Czechia, and Georgia in that timeframe.
Romania are not as short as Thomas Tuchel’s side, but Friday’s hosts are on a six-game winning streak since Euro 2024 and have scored 18 goals in that period, while Bosnia-Herzegovina haven’t won since October 2023, losing ten of their 12 outings since then.
They have faced some tough battles, but defeats to the likes of Hungary, Ukraine, Slovakia, and Luxembourg suggest that the Tricolorii should have the edge on Friday.
Saturday 22nd March – Wales to win
Wales are hot favourites to get their World Cup qualifying campaign off to a winning start against a Kazakhstan side that haven’t won a game in over a year.
Saturday’s visitors have lost ten of their 12 attempts since then, while Wales are unbeaten in six and have won their last two home matches.
