Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund bet builder tip

Match result market

Bet builder tip: Manchester City to win

It’s hard to look beyond the quadruple-chasing Manchester City in this one. They have won 26 of their last 27 competitive games and Dortmund, while dangerous, are having a really poor season domestically.

Their loss at home to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday made it one win from their last five competitive games and they have only won the first leg in one of their six Champions League quarter final ties.

Both teams to score market

Bet builder tip: Both teams to score

Borussia Dortmund may be having a disappointing season, but their attack certainly can’t shoulder the blame. They haven’t failed to score in any of their last 37 competitive games and have netted nine goals in their last five.

However, they have conceded ten at the other end in this five game period and face a Manchester City side that have only failed to score once in their last 28 matches.

Goals markets

Bet builder tip: Goal scored in both halves: Yes

Champions League ties, especially in the latter stages, do have a tendency to be rather cagey affairs. This isn’t expected to be one of them.

Manchester City have seen goals in both halves in six of their last ten Champions League ties and Dortmund have in six of their eight Champions League outings this season. With four or more goals being scored in three of Dortmund’s last five competitive games, it’s hard to pack all those into a single half of football.

Goalscorer markets

Bet builder tip: Erling Haaland to score

European football’s hottest prospect will want to put on a show for his potential suitors on Tuesday, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to back against the young Norwegian.

Erling Haaland has scored in each of his last six Champions League games and has an incredibly tally of 20 goals in his first 14 appearances in Europe’s elite competition. If anybody can trouble Pep Guardiola’s back line, it’s Erling Haaland.

Shot markets

Bet builder tip: Erling Haaland to have 2+ shots on target

If you want to average over a goal per game in the Champions League, you better be taking plenty of shots. As you might expect, Erling Haaland is doing just that.

Only Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe have attempted more shots than Haaland in this season’s Champions League and only Messi has more shots on target. On average, 2.7 of Haaland’s 4.0 shots per game test the keeper, so backing him to test Ederson a couple of times is advised.

Real Madrid vs Liverpool bet builder tip

Match result market

Bet builder tip: Liverpool to win

Liverpool’s Premier League title defence may be in tatters but their performances have been vastly improved in Europe and their comprehensive win over Arsenal on Saturday will have given the injury-hit Reds a confidence boost.

Real Madrid are struggling with injuries too and have a crucial El Clasico coming up this weekend as they look to improve their title credentials. For Liverpool – who have won six of their eight Champions League games this season – the Champions League is their only hope to salvage the campaign and they can take a vital first leg lead in Madrid.

Both teams to score market

Bet builder tip: Both teams to score

Liverpool may be in a good position to take the lead in Madrid but the absence of Virgil van Dijk continues to hamper their defensive prospects.

They have only kept five clean sheets in their last 15 competitive games and they face a Real Madrid side that haven’t failed to score since mid-January, netting 27 goals in the 15 games since that goalless draw at Osasuna.

Goal markets

Bet builder tip: Liverpool over 0.5 second half goals

It’s safe to say that Jurgen Klopp’s side have been slow starters this season, and with Champions League ties often starting off cagey that’s unlikely to change on Tuesday.

An incredible 16 of their last 18 competitive goals have come after half-time and they have only scored four of their 14 Champions League goals this season before the break, one of which was an own goal in their group stage opener against Ajax.

Goalscorer markets

Bet builder tip: Mohamed Salah to score

Fresh from a brace for Egypt over the international break, Mohamed Salah returned to Liverpool and promptly found the net against Arsenal on Saturday.

The Egyptian attacker may not be quite hitting the heights of last season, but he still has an impressive tally of 26 goals for Liverpool this season and he has scored in five of his last seven Champions League appearances.

Shot markets

Bet builder tip: Karim Benzema to have 3+ shots

Karim Benzema spent most of his Real Madrid career living in the shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo, but the Frenchman has emerged as Madrid’s main man since Ronaldo left for Turin.

He has scored 24 goals in all competitions this season and has averaged 3.9 shots per game. In the Champions League he has attempted 3.7 shots per game this season, with only Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski topping this tally.
