Year in Football: Huge 355/1 acca for 2024's biggest competitions
Content Editor at Free Super Tips, Alex was born in the shadow of Old Trafford and is an avid Man Utd fan. After graduating from university he combined his love of football, writing and betting to join FST and now closely follows goings-on in all of the top European leagues.
2023 saw Manchester City finally get their hands on the Champions League as they completed an historic treble but that is in the past now and a new year is a time to look to the future.
As well as the usual culmination of European domestic football, we also have the small matter of Euro 2024 to look forward to this summer. To celebrate a huge year of football ahead I’ve put together a 355/1 Year in Football accumulator backing my predicted winners of Europe’s top four leagues, the Champions League and Euro 2024, excluding Ligue 1 due to the ridiculously short price of PSG.

355/1 2024 Year in Football accumulator
Premier League – Liverpool to win at 9/4
After claiming their third-successive Premier League title and winning the treble last season, a few brave souls predicted that Manchester City may struggle for motivation and that certainly seems to be the case so far and that opens the door for a resurgent Liverpool to reclaim the crown.
The Cityzens have won just three of their last eight league assignments and already sit five points adrift of leaders Liverpool. We know Pep Guardiola’s side tend to burst into life in the second half of the season but that may not be enough to unseat Jurgen Klopp’s men.
The Reds have lost just one top-flight fixture this season and are unbeaten in 13 matches. If they can navigate the upcoming period without the AFCON-tied Mohamed Salah, expect their price to shorten considerably.
UEFA Champions League – Real Madrid to win at 11/2
Once again, Manchester City are favourites but I fancy the most successful side in Champions League history to make a comeback this year.
Los Blancos have won this competition 14 times – twice that of second-placed AC Milan – and five of those triumphs have come in the last decade.
They are tied at the top of La Liga with Girona but, unfortunately for the neutrals, the underdogs are likely to drop off the boil at some point. With traditional rivals Barcelona and Atletico Madrid ten points adrift, that should allow Carlo Ancelotti’s side to focus on their continental aspirations.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are likely to be embroiled in a tough title battle and Bayern Munich have not been at their best this season. Plus, it’s hard to back against the Champions League’s most successful club led by the Champions League’s most successful manager.
Germany Bundesliga – Bayer Leverkusen to win at 2/1
Bayern Munich won their 11th-successive Bundesliga title on the final day of the 2022/23 season but this could be the year their dominance finally comes to an end.
The Bavarian giants are four points adrift of Bayer Leverkusen and the underdogs are showing no signs of taking their foot off the gas as they approach the halfway point of the season.
Die Werkself are unbeaten in all competitions this season and have won 23 of their 26 assignments. They have been Bundesliga runners-up five times but this could be the year they finally win it for the first time.
Spain La Liga – Real Madrid to win at 1/4
Real Madrid are tied at the top of the table with underdogs Girona but it is hard to see the surprise title rivals maintaining their form for an entire season and that could leave Los Blancos to run away at the top.
They are ten points clear of both Atletico Madrid and defending champions Barcelona and head into the second half of the season unbeaten in 18 competitive games.
Italy Serie A – Inter Milan to win at 1/4
At a glance, the Serie A title fight looks a close one between leaders Inter Milan and the chasing Juventus but Inter have been a class apart from the rest of the division.
They have scored ten more goals than the second-best attacking team, AC Milan, and hold the best defensive record, with 42 goals scored and just eight conceded across 18 games.
There may just be two points in it at the moment, but I expect Inter to top the table comfortably before long.
Euro 2024 – France to win at 7/2
France and England are joint-favourites for Euro 2024 and Les Bleus look the best value option given the immense quality of their squad and their recent successes.
Didier Deschamps’ side have reached the final in three of the last four major tournaments and were a whisker away from successfully defending the World Cup last winter. With arguably the best squad in world football, filled with players who have experience at the sharp end of major international tournaments and led by a manager with the same winning mentality, France look the team to beat this summer.
