It’s a news story that everyone is tired of hearing about at this point, but it appears there could finally be and end to all the rumours and speculation. According to overnight reports in France, Paul Pogba has travelled out to Los Angeles for a medical ahead of his move to Manchester United. A deal has reportedly been agreed by both Juventus and Manchester United to bring the Frenchman to Old Trafford for £100 million, smashing the current transfer record of £86 million held by Real Madrid and Gareth Bale.

Once again, Pogba’s agent looks poised to jeopardise the deal. Raiola wants an astronomical £16.8 million cut of the deal, a figure Juventus simply aren’t willing to pay. They now seem willing to offer £8.4 million to the agent instead, and talks to agree the agents fee are going to continue today.

This world record breaking deal is likely to see Pogba earn £10.9 million a season before bonuses. That’s around £210,000 a week. He is also set to make another £5.8 million a season from his image rights and likely plenty more money from sponsorships, making him a very rich man indeed.

Paul Pogba was once an exciting young prospect from the Manchester United academy itself, however a lack of game time and a rare showing of poor judgement from Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson led to the 23-year old leaving United on a free to join Italian giants Juventus. From £0 to £100 million in 4 seasons, what an incredible piece of business from the “Old Lady”.

During his time at the Juventus stadium (yes, it’s name is that boring) Pogba racked up 124 appearances, scoring a staggering 28 goals from central midfield. He has also brought his incredible league from with him to the international stage, showing signs of him being a world class player during the Euro 2016 competition, hosted in his home country France. Flourishing more in an attacking midfield role, Pogba was able to power through the centre of the pitch, beating midfielders and defenders alike before letting off a fiesty shot or laying a pass off to a teammate. His incredible strength and power combined with his seemingly unlimited stamina combine to make a terrifying prospect for any midfielder who lines up against him. He is not just potent in attack either, as the young Frenchman was often seen getting back into his own third of the pitch to make a challenge or win an aerial battle.
