Home advantage gives Juve edge in heavyweight Serie A clash

Juventus are worth backing to win at home to Milan on Saturday. Thiago Motta’s side are in good form and should have too much for a Milan team managed by Sergio Conceicao.

Juventus are fifth in the table, two places above Milan, but the two sides are separated by just three points. Milan are seventh with eight wins, seven draws and four defeats, while Juventus have won seven, drawn 13 and lost none of their 19 games.

Milan were 2-1 winners of a tightly contested game against Como in their last Serie A game on Tuesday, while Juventus are in excellent form on paper, having avoided defeat in 28 consecutive league games and lost just one of their last 31 league games.

However, unluckily for the Old Lady they have drawn 13 times this season, including a 1-1 draw at Atalanta in midweek when they dominated possession and could have come away with maximum points but for conceding a late equaliser.

Juventus have been impressive defensively at home this season, conceding just nine goals in ten games – an average of 0.9 goals conceded per game. They have shut out Milan in three of their last six Serie A meetings and will be confident of keeping another clean sheet here.

A 2-0 home victory for Juventus is the most appealing correct-score option with the hosts having scored exactly two goals in their last five league matches in front of their own supporters.
